7 Injured, 1 Critically in Dallas Cowboys Mishap

A Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant suffered a broken back and was permanently paralyzed after the collapse of the team's practice canopy during a heavy thunderstorm on Saturday.

So sad.

Six other people were also taken to the hospital, none with injuries as severe.

Watch footage of the practice facility collapsing (above).

Posting video footage of a disaster in which people were hurt, including one man being paralyzed? Morbid much, Perez?

    3. 3

it wasn't a canopy, it was actually their indoor practice facility.

    4. 4

      not cool! yikes!

damn perez, didnt this happen last week?

As much as I hate the Cowboys, my heart goes out to those who were injured. What's up with the guy telling the player to take his helmet off? I would have left that helmet on until I got into bed that night.

jeez, i'm from europe and i saw that yesterday on the news! and no, perez must've still been up and "working" at that time.

this was all over the news yesterday perez. GO BACK TO DOING GOSSIP. YOU ARE AS SLOW AS A NEWSPAPER. SLOWER. and bluesft5 is right, it is not really a canopy, it was a temporary indoor practice facility for their incoming rookie players. since the winds were equaled those of a tornado, they were lucky no one was killed, another person's vertabrae was broken, but he will be fine, and one was going under surgery for a fx. leg. they are lucky not more were injured.

Im not gonna lie to me it looked like the football players werent really doing anything about it they just let the other people get the injured out. all the players did was point them out. i think football players would have a much easier time getting somebody out of the tent.

Re: atoz143 – yes it was scary. rowlett and arlington got it bad too. the tree in our back yard was split in half by lightning and power was out for a while.

wheres the part where they look for the injured? they all seem to be just climbing out and leaving…

    15. 15

Good thing people don't count on you (Perez) for up-to-date info. Holy crap–all your stuff is so old!

    16. 16

12 people were taken to the hospital. and it was the practice field not a canopy.

    17. 17

Uh it happened on Saturday and all the other media outlets have already beaten this sotry to death– try to steal the stories a little qicker Perez.

Talk about equal rights–my sister is a paraplegic and has been for over 20 years from an accident. Talk about not getting in places, not getting in restaurants, friends homes, SUVs, beaches, lakes, docks etc….
