Early Saturday, comedian Robert Schimmel was arrested by the Los Angeles County police after allegedly beating his wife at his home in Calabasas.
The 59-year-old stand-up comic, who was a regular guest on Conan O'Brien's TV show and Howard Stern's radio show, was taken into custody and later released on $50,000 bail.

This is the same comic that had cancer and almost died - made a huge part of his act out of the whole thing. He always sounds like he's one sentence shy of an asskicking by someone in the audience. He needs to be stopped

Is it me or does this site really suck now? It was fun back in the day when Perez put celebs back in their place and ripped into that douchebag Avril. I particularly loved that part, but now it's nothing more than a holier than thou lecture on social issues.
Perez once exposed douches, but in doing so unfortunately became one. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Is this the young wife? Didn't he leave the other wife who helped him through his cancer for a young girl that was a friend of his daughter's? I've seen his act in person a few times and he has needed some new material for years. Guess he has some now.

What they are failing to report is that she hit him first over the head with a rolling pin!! Or are you all too young to remember the classic image of the beat-HIM-down wife with the huge rolling pin (which was used to flatten pie dough, etc)??
