Swine Flu Affecting Telenovelas
Filed under: TV News > Etc.
TV execs for several popular Spanish soap operas have opted to reduce the number of kissing scenes in each show for fear of spreading the Swine Flu H1N1 Virus.
Members of Mexico's Televisa, who produce many of the popular telenovelas, have already stated that several precautions have been put in place to prevent the spread of any disease.
Actors and crew members have even been advised not to greet each other with handshakes or a kiss. Screenwriters have also been told to reduce the number of "on-contact" scenes in each episode.
There haven't been any reported cases of the swine flu by anyone in the entertainment industry yet. Let's hope it stays that way!

how about a vacine to wipe out Spiedi??
Novelas have been crappy lately anyways. How is THIS news? Wouldn't it be common sense for the actors not to kiss in the first place if the swine flu is going around?
Hahahaha that's it for Mexico… Salma Hayek must be sooo happy she jumped off the boat on time… lol
Bye bye so long mexico and mexicans it was NOT a pleasure to have you around but it was a kick to see you leaving…
OMG!
Spanish from México??? you need a map moron.
Re: Kate27 – wow, you have issues, it has to be difficult to be such an ass.
Spencer looks like a monkey
God, please cure the innocent people affected by the flu and give it all back to Speidi. That's probably the only way we'll ever stop seeing those two. Puke.
I don't know why, but it really really bothers me that everytime you mention the swine flu, you scratch it out and spell out the H1N1 Virus and prove a link to the story to when it was changed. It seems like you just CAN'T get over that it was changed. Why not keep calling it swine flu if you like it so much? People will still know what you're talking about!!!
It's all propaganda.
Is that Heidi and Spencer? Looks like them!
