Madonna was THE worst dressed of the night at the Met's Costume Institute Gala in NYC on Monday night.
There is so much wrong with this! EVERYTHING, pretty much.
Where do we begin?
Let's start from the top and work our way down!
- That scrunchie on her head? Wrong!
- Why the crucifix? You're a Kabbalist! You're dating Jesus, you don't need to wear him!
- That outfit will haunt us!
- Even the gloves suck!
- And don't get us started on the boots!

The Worst…
Mary-kate Olsen looked even more trollish than usual, if that's even possible, and it looked like something was nesting in her hair.
The usually lovely Anne Hathaway's hair was AWFUL, and I didn't love the dress either.
Agyness Deyn's white lipstick was horrific, especially with her hair (also bad), and I've just never liked her face.
Kirsten Dunst looked totally weird and was dressed like some kind of crazy fortune teller (how was she even invited?).
Shalom Harlow looked like she was trying to be daring and couture, but actually just looked like she came wrapped in a duvet cover or some curtains.
Mannnn, why can't she go back to the days of shocking us by being NAKED. That was so much more fun than this crap.

Ok, first of all , to me it's obvious she's doing an egotastic "I'm Madonna" statement, with her huge crucifix and the fingerless gloves (FYI kids - she was first to wear them & brought them in BIG TIME when she first hit in the 80's.) That part of it is fierce. The fluffy skirt is part of it, too.
I think I know where, or who, this other dose of crazy is coming from, though. Think about it for a second. Who's in the public eye right now and wears crazy hats and headpieces, along with thigh-high hooker boots? That's right. Remember, M went to Gaga's show with her daughter a few nights ago. Madonna was a cool New York club kid once, too! I think she was inspired by Lady Gaga.
