American Scandal: Kara Is Still In

In a taping for Tuesday's airing of the Ellen DeGeneres show, Simon Cowell told Ellen that, much to the public's dismay, Kara DioGuardi is staying on the show after all.
He also admitted that he doesn't like the 4 judge panel because it limits the amount of time he gets to listen to his own voice. He said, "There’s less time for us to talk. One week literally we couldn’t talk."
Si also said that Ryan Seacrest lost popularity due to his flashy entrance because it makes the diminutive host appear "more pompous, obnoxious, taking himself a bit seriously."
It should be Simon on that lighted staircase!
Bu, don't worry, Cowell didn't completely forget to take his happy pills that morning. He said he likes Adam Lambert because "he has guts."
The fact that he also has balls might not be so bad to Simon either.
P.S. Paula Abdul has yet to re-sign her contract for next season!

I aint watching it anymore. And if Paula leaves then I am not even going too watch breif clips of it anymore when its on.

Simon is my favorite judge, I don't really care about Paula or Kara but I like Kara better because Paula just rambles on like a crackhead. And Ryan Seacrest is LAME!
i agree with him that there isn't really enough time for all 4 judges to talk- but i do like kara's contribution… however, if anyone has to go, it has to be her. i mean, we need randy even though his dawg/dude talk makes me INSANE. was that ever cool??? it's not anymore, so randy, "here's the thing," STOP SAYING DAWG…

what makes paula incredible is that she rambles on in her vicodin high! if you saw her at the tryouts, with the scream singer that scared everyone b/c he was so loudly screaming… well, if you saw that, and her jumps and pencil-flings… well, you'd never say a bad word about her again. she is a comedienne (even if on crack- tho i don't condone drug use! even prescription drug use/abuse!)

They really need to change the format of this show if it's going to continue to succeed. It would be cool to see behind the scenes of what goes on in the house or wherever the contestants stay at. Seeing that drama would give viewers a better sense of who these people are before we vote for them. Just a thought.

Actually, Simon has gotten somewhat genuine himself. I wonder if Paula has influenced his style. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. No Paula = no watchee, for me.
I LIKE KARA….I THINK SHE SHOULD BE A BIT MORE BALLSY WITH HER CRITIQUES THOUGH, LIKE SHE WAS DURING THE AUDITIONS. SHE'S ALSO WAY HOT & STYLISH. GREAT SONG WRITTER TOO….JUST ALL AROUND TALENT….JUDGING THOUGH, KICK IT UP A NOTCH GIRL!

i absolutely HATE kara. everything she says is always the complete opposite of what the performance really was. and she is annoying. i hate her. what we all really want to see is one of simons and paula's arguements get completely out of control.
i dont watch it at all to much hype outtakes maybe if theres nothing on and im bored….
i really don't mind kara at all. her input seems to be more valuable than anything paula has ever had to say on that show.

I really like Kara- her comments are actually appropriate to the industry. I think the best thing AI did was to add her as a judge. The past few years that three judge panel became so redundant.." you made it your own." " I don't know dawg." " You thought you were better than you were." You could predict the comments- yawn. Kara has forced everyone to up his or her game. Paula's vocab has doubled this year!

Love her or Hate her, she's got the background for what this show needs. Someone that has been in the industry and knows that it takes to be successful…not just an engineered voice and lucky string of hits from the 80's.
Week after week Kara offers very complex and highly constructive critiques to the contestants, whereas Paula offers up such gems as "You look so pretty tonight," and "I am so glad to see you having a good time."
Seriously…if Idol wants to remain relevant, they have to ditch Paula in favor of Kara.
