Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!
So, so cool!

I'm from Maine, and I agree that same-sex marriage should be legal in this state. Despite having two Republican senators (who are moderate, for the most part), there are very liberal towns within the state that are for the same-sex marriage bill. Hopefully I'll be able to return home after university and be happy to live in a state where same-sex marriage is legal.

Mario: that was an interesting article…I had never thought about the legal implications that arise when a same-sex couple relocates to a state that doesnt have legal guidelines acknowledging their union. Interesting ideas in that article- it does seem inevitable that all states will need language regarding this topic, whether or not they acknowledge it or not.
