R.I.P.

Sad, sad news.
Screen and television legend Dom DeLuise (Cannonball!!!) passed away on Monday evening in Los Angeles.
The actor famously known for his regular roles in Mel Brooks' timeless comedies, such as Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs, was 75 years young at the time of his passing.
The cause of death is not yet known at this time, but Dom was at a hospital in Los Angeles when he died.
Our thoughts go out to DeLuise's family and friends.
Update: We're hearing Dom may have passed away from kidney failure.
Sad.

sad
Later funny man….
RIP, Dom! I'll always remember him in the 1980 movie, "Fatso." It was great.
OH! Rip!
I suppose if you continually eat a de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken then your odds of living long are slim to none.
awww i loved him!!! he was a great actor…so sad for him and his family
OH GODS NO!
T_T I loved this guy! Gods! I was just thinking about him when I was looking up old shows from my childhood! He was in Charlie Horse Music Pizza, he did a ton of stuff that I loved when I was growing up. Holy shit I can't believe he's gone.
He was so funny and he had so many talents… Gods he was a shining star. I'll miss him.
Re: Blind Baby – Fuck you, 75 is long, and it's probably longer than your sorry spiteful ass is gonna live.
Oh noooooooooo!
): he was amazing!
I thought he died a long time ago! Wonder what I was thinking! Doesn't his son play the dad on Wizards of Waverly Place?
awww love him. and penhall lol
Re: Blind Baby – He was 75…sure it's not as long as most but it's still pretty long. At least he made it past 50.
RIP! I'll be watching both Cannonball Runs & The Secret of NIMH today in your memory.
Re: AuberonV – Speaking the truth girl…and judging by your face you won't be too far behind. Doesn't mean I don't have love for Dom. It was no secret he liked food.
Run along now
Lets not forget all dogs go to heaven. RIP DOM you were a classic figure for my childhood
He was hilarious! He could make me laugh without saying a word.
I THOUGHT FATSO DIED LONG AGO… OH WAIT, THAT WAS PAVAROTTI. STILL I JUST REMEMBER HIS PIZZA COMMERCIALS.
Re: STFUalready – Dude had renal kidney disease for 12 years. He was alive but I wouldn't say he was living. He ate and cooked food for a living…why is everyone so fucking sensitive about this?
RIP good sir.
He will be missed. RIP.
Re: Blind Baby – Re: Blind Baby – no shit, he was fat and always had a struggle with his weight which probably added to his kidney failure. but people are sensitive because it's annoying when someone points out the obvious. we get it. we don't always have to make a point. sometimes we just want to remember the good things about the deceased and be allowed to grieve without someone else's 2 cents, ya dig?
Re: Blind Baby – What an insensitive remark to all people who have kidney disease and are on dialysis. You can LIVE A LONG & GOOD life on dialysis.
It angers me when people die becuase of kidney failure because there is an option and you can live a long life on dialysis.
so his role as Pizza The Hutt was timeless…
poor perez meant john candys role. KNOW YOUR FAT COMEDIANS
RIP Dom! Such a happy man that made us all smile.
Condolences to his Family!
He was a funny guy, rest in peace Dom.
Re: eastsidesue – Funny thing is he would have laughed. And not everyone likes to cry at funerals. The dude was good at eating and being funny…good life. Lighten up…not everyone sugar coats peoples death. When Patrick Swayze dies do you think for a second no person will say he should have stopped smoking. Dude smoke like a chimney. good for him…but he paid for the gluttony…just like Dom did. You dig?
Re: deblou66 – I was about to say LOL. That was John Candy.
I remember watching him when I was younger in that movie "Fatso"- the locking up the cabinets always stayed in my head, too funny. He will be missed.
SO sad. The guy was a comic genious. Loved him in Cannonball Run movies. He was just a real funny, likeable guy.. He will be missed. Prayers go out to the family and friends…
Re: Blind Baby – LOL- nice pun "sugar coat"…no one is sugarcoating anything. except maybe Dom. LOL ok…yes…people have to laugh, but the fact is, what you said was not funny. it was obnoxious and obvious. that's all.
Oh my god :'(
RIP Dom.
You were a great actor.
Re: eastsidesue – true…but I am obnoxious
What is with all the cool old people dying lately?
I love Dom DeLouise.
I remember seeing him on Carson, and on "Live With Regis and KL" in the morning. He brought along a picture of his up-and-coming actor nephew, Johnny Depp. I remember it so well because he just raved on and on about how talented his nephew was. He stated that someday, everyone would know what a great actor his nephew was. He was certainly right about that.
so sad.
.
.
. but why must you put in years young, thats ageist and just plain insulting. he and everyone lived the good life deserving of respect.
.
.
. puts soap box away.
Dom DeLouise led a long, fulfilling life. He had love, family, and success. I am sorry for his passing, but I feel more pity for blind(butt)baby who is obviously struggling emotionally and socially. At least pretend to have respect. If you don't have respect, shut the hell up.
RIP Dom… so sad… he was great
Some ppl have some nerve… have some respect for the dead… smh
Tarzan's Love Spot … for the animal in you
Bummer, he was always so funny to me as a kid.
Note: Dom wasn't in Spaceballs, but he was in Johnny Dangerously as the Pope
OMG, just a few days ago my bro and I were watching the movies Fival Goes West and All Dogs Go to Heaven. I loved him as the voice as Tiger and Itchy. ;_; So sad.
OH SHIT ya'll, this is depressing. RIP.
Good actor, great funnyman! Too bad he was another man on the downlow. Just goes to show ya, married for 40 years & kids too, but went after boys on the sly. Though I have read he didn't hide it in his older years ala Merv Griffin.
WHAT??AGAIN I SAY WHAT??? MY GOD WHAT A GUY!!!
It IS sad..I loved him. R.I.P.
What a shame. He was an incredibly talented, brilliant man. =[
I met him back in the 80's in Atlantic City. He was such a sweet funny man, and I even got him to sign a copy of his cookbook (which is awesome, BTW, "Eat this, you'll feel better") The world is a little less funny with him gone. RIP Dom, you'll be missed.
