She Really Really Wants To Rock!

The Queen B of GG wants to make sure you remember that she is not only an actress, but a singer as well.

Last month, Leighton Meester's ~~single~~ song, Birthday, was "leaked" onto the internet. We liked it enough.

While shooting a music video for Cobra Starship, MTV caught up with Blair to ask about her upcoming album. She assured them that it was on its way, dropping sometime later this year on Universal. And don't expect her to quit her day job either…

"I don't know if I can really choose a favorite of what I want to do more or what I love more, ’cause I feel like I always felt I can do both."

Do U think she's got the chops to be a double threat?

I think she should try!
I mean, someone can do both and actually be really good,
and it's annoying how people always shut out those who go from acting to singing or visa versa.

i love Gossip Girl, and Blair is my favorite.. But seriously, i don't think Leighton can sing. Unless her album (and voice) sound drastically different from what she leaked, i wouldn't even get her cd off of Limewire, let alone buy it.
