Bring The Games Back!

cbs.jpg

CBS is trying to singlehandedly save television by revisiting old game show favorites such as Let's Make a Deal and The Dating Game.

Execs are planning on having a Deal pilot shot by the end of this month, although there is no word on who might be hosting.

The Dating Game is not as far along in its development.

We'd love to see a revamped Press Your Luck!!!

there is already a remake of press your luck on the gameshow network… not sure if its still on the air but its already been done

  2. 2

why dont they put on GAME SHOW IN MY HEAD???
THAT WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER TO BE ON CBS EVER.
makes me so damn mad i havent seen it in fucking months . . .

  3. 3

mmm. Recession programming. More reality shows less scripted dramas and comedies. Game shows and reality programming are way cheaper to produce.

  4. 4

Can't they ever come up with anything original?? Nobody watches because the programs are dull.

  5. 5

the gamshow network did press your luck remake already… think its called whammy…. its pretty… but not as good as the cheesy original… loves it

  8. 8

I'd say Match Game… but it would suck.. not the same without Charles Nelson Reilly!!! lol

I would be open to a PYL remake as long as it was exactly like the original (and not Whammy with Todd Newton), and with a host that is better than Todd Newton. Otherwise, it'd be a bomb. The best thing The Price Is Right has done with Drew Carey is not changing it.

They did revamp Press Your Luck. It's called Whammy on the Game Show Network.

I agree I LOVED Lets make a Deal. With the costumes and stuff it was awesome!! And I LOVE Press your luck, they did a newer one on the GSN I think it was in the last few years. MY fav is Newlywed Game which they just brought back on GSN but its not as funny as the 70s one, those were funny cause the women they had were dumb and wouldn't know what the questions meant.

How about an updated version of Cheech and Chong's "Let's Make a Dope Deal"??

They have a remake of "Press Your Luck" on the Gameshow Network. I used to be addicted to it, both the new version and the reruns of the old version. But I don't get that channel anymore. :(

This is what their planning on replacing Guiding Light with 2 game shows since apparently they want the 18-49 year old demographic.

  17. 17

I love press your luck and Lets make a deal. They are my fave!!!

Peter Tomarken (sp?) was HOT! on Press Your Luck! I'd love to see a remake of 'Make Me Laugh' hosted then by Bobby Van. Funny!
