Britney Makes A Few Demands

Not too surprisingly, Britney Spears has a few unconventional requests for her stay at the Dorchester Hotel for the London leg of her tour this summer.
Among her requests are a room that has "never" been smoked in, several humidifiers, a few magazines, fresh flowers to arrange to her pleasing, DVDs of her favorite Marilyn Monroe films, "chick literature," 100 watt light bulbs, a map of running routes for Hyde Park, as well as some horse-back riding opportunities, and a list of different routes from the hotel to the venue to help evade the paps.
And whatever Britney wants Britney gets!
So long as Papa Spears approves!

Nice. As paying customers, its her fans that should be doing the demanding…like singing live, audience interaction, and a substance free performance. the brits won't go for all this shit, they'll rip her phoney ass after night one.

If she is trying to quit smoking then it makes sense that she requests for that kind of room, hopefully that's the case!
Thats REALLY REASONABLE!!!! shes a huge celebrity…she could ask for chocolate figurines and 1000 bags of cheetos covered in diamonds and the hotel would have to do it

I used to be a concierge at a five-star hotel. Her requests really aren't that unusual.
That's nothing. Movies, books, flowers is nothing compared to what other celebs demand. I'm quite shocked that she was able to complete the first leg of her tour without too much drama. And good on her for trying to quit smoking. She's definitely not a diva compared to Mariah, Beyonce, etc.

How come she didn't request a choreographer? That fat ass can't move anymore. Her moves at the "Gimme more legendary" MTV awards are wild compared to what she does in the lipsynched Circus ""concert"".
it doesn't sound insanely unreasonable (the smoking thing is weird) … but I find it funny that she wants humidifiers as if she needs to preserve her voice..she's a professional mime set to music.

Could be a lot worse. All in all that's not bad, the never been smoked in thing is kinda bitchy. However I guess that's basically like saying "I don't want a room that still smells like the last guest."
I had a friend who worked for a concert hall one Summer. His job was essentially assigning the gophers where to go for things. The White Stripes were one of the more ridiculous requests.
1. A white room covered in silver glitter and black velvet accents.
2. A child's red toy guitar.
3. A small piano.
4. 24 bottles of sparkling spring water.
5. A silver platter with x number of slices of (some food don't remember).
6. 2 vanity mirrors surrounded by new light bulbs.
7. A crystal vase with a dozen red roses.
He had the worst time finding the instruments lol.
really when you think about it the demands that she made really aren't that bad compared to other celebs; they seem kind of reasonable.

Have I missed something? Has Britney quit smoking, then? A room that's never been smoked in… that sounds like a non smoker. A smoker wouldn't notice or care that a room had ever been smoked in.

These requests are not over the top at all. I've seen way worse from far less famous celebs. And perhaps she's trying to quit smoking? I'd want a smoke free room too. Eh..who knows.
