Homophobe To Sue
The UK has just released a list of people banned from entering their country "who promote hatred, terrorist violence or serious criminal activity."
On the list, which was just made public for the first time, are terrorists, skinheads, and Ku Klux Klan leaders. But - notably - also on the list is ultra-conservative radio host Michael Savage.
The douche is well known for being a homophobe. Last month he event went on another tirade blaming gays and lesbians for pretty much all that's wrong in society. And, last year he famously attacked autistic children and their families on his radio show.
Savage, whose real name is Michael Alan Weiner and is one of the founders of the Rockstar Energy Drink, is one of 22 people on the list blocked from entering for "fostering extremism or hate."
But, surprisingly, he told his radio audience (we're not sure why he still even has a show) that he was thinking of suing British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith for defamation!
Savage said, "To link me up with skinheads who are killing people in Russia, to put me in league with Hamas murderers who kill people on buses is defamation."
However, attorneys say it'll be difficult for Savage to bring a defamation suit against the country since the list was issued with the authority of the British government.
And we don't blame them either. No one wants an a-hole promoting hate against others entering their country.

Personally, I wonder if LG and Sweet Piece aren't the same person. So they are hating on you now? Savage is the man!!! The reason he still has a show is because he has millions of loyal listeners everyday. Its called the Savage nation for a reason. Michael has five degrees, several lucrative businesses, one of them being an extremely popular radio program. Perez Hilton is some overweight guy with pink hair who sits around for 14 hours a day worshiping celebrities in a pink robe……….. yet Savage is the douche?

Banning Savage for being against ILLEGAL immigration is unacceptable! I don't care for him, but I do support his right to say he opposes ILLEGAL immigration. I wish he would run for resident. He promotes the USA and thats all. He wants the borders closed, a common language adopted, and some pride in American culture. I listen to him all the time, and while i don't agree with everything he says, he does not get the attention he deserves, because he attacks all sides. I was listening the day he spoke about autism, and he did not attack the kids or their families, he was attacking the pharm companies that push medications for kids. He has a doctorate, and has published many books on nutrition, and natural meds. Before you slam him and believe what this portly sodomite has to say, listen to the show.

You guys are bloggers. You exist because of the first amendment. If someone tried to ban your site, Savage would be all over it trying to protect it. You don't have to like his opinion, just don't listen to him. And he never attacked autistic children and their families. Ever. He criticized doctors for rushing to drug kids that later find out never had autism. Happens to millions of poor kids each year. Get your facts straight.

Perez, Savage's anti-gay views aren't what's keeping him out of the U.K.
He has made many anti-Muslim comments, and those are far more incendiary. The U.K. has a large Pakistani community, and his bigoted comments wouldn't be well-received there.
I'm the parent of an autistic child, and this man will say any hateful, spiteful thing to get attention.
If anyone thinks that these people don't incite dangerous, fringe people, think again. Our local church was targeted by a mentally ill man who had been listening to this type of stuff and came into the church and shot two people during a children's play. Why did he do it? He said he believed the church was too liberal and he felt they were too friendly toward gay people. He said he wanted to shoot even more people.
Before some of the people on this site start to say "Good", he shot a man who had taken in a foster child who had been in an abusive home with a drug-addicted mother and brother. This was a good man who lost his life to someone operating under the spell of hate-mongers like Mr. Savage and his ilk.
There is nothing funny or benign about these kinds of rants. There are many marginalized, unstable people who hear this stuff and respond with violence.
