So hopes the Peacock!
NBC has
just signed a two year deal with Mindy Kaling from The Office.
The actress/writer/producer will continue to write for and appear on The Office next season while simultaneously developing a comedy in which she would also star.
At the moment, Kaling, who plays talkative customer service rep Kelly Kapoor, is kicking around a lot of different ideas for a series. She says she's drawn to workplace comedies but is also interested in buddy shows in the vein of Flight of the Conchords.
What do U think? Will U watch her show?

How would I know now if I would watch a show that does not yet exist! Stupid question. If it is a good show and there is nothing in the time slot that I already watch. Then maybe I would watch. I have never seen the office so maybe not.

She's kind of one-trick pony with Kelly. Her web show was awful.
I'm half indian and it's always good to see more south asian people on t.v. that don't have to use a thick accent, or pose as a terrorist's family member.
Also I know a lot of girls that talk fast and random like her, so i enjoy her character.

Mindy Kaling is a writer for The Office as well as acting in it SINCE SEASON ONE.
Kelly Kapur is an amazing character. Mindy is a very talented writer. I say she go for the buddy comedy for sure. If she could pull off something like Flight of the Concords that can make it to primetime, i'd watch it 100%.

I think its great that tv has a bit more multiculturalism to reflect those who watch..not everyone is white/black..its about time indian actors appear more in shows/movies..we should be moving forward not backwards.
