Canada Hates Lindsay

At least, they sooo don't want her in their country.
Last weekend, Lindsay Lohan had a scheduled club appearance across the border, but Canadian officials immiedately interrogated her upon her arrival at the airport in Montreal.
Sources are reporting that Lindsanity was escorted into a backroom by the border staff, alarmed by her 2007 arrests for driving under the influence appeared on a computer database. Because of her DUIs, the immigration officials considered banning her from the country.
Finally, she was allowed into the country after a one-hour interrogation.
Damn. Sucks to be Lohan.

here in canada, we don't hate anybody. but i can tell you as a whole, we definitely don't like lindsay lohan. we've never really favoured the whole "L.A. trash" persona, on anybody! we're used to people being a little more level-headed up here. she lacks the self control and dignity that we, as canadians, expect american actresses to have.

I think its a standard thing for them to stop her and question her a bit when crossing the border with a record such as hers. I mean, my mom and 17 year old sister and I travel back and forth the border a lot and sometimes its fast and sometimes they stop us and ask a million questions. Its random and stuff (considering none of us have ever had any type of legal confrontations before) So this isn't really that big of a deal.

Fact is Lohan did get into Canada. It's normal procedure to check out people with criminal records. Don't think DUI's are big on the no crossing list though. Again one of Mario's non scandals
@24 Canada is not "safe" that's a myth, last year in a metropolitan city like toronto there were 68 homicides, in a similar sized american city chicago there were 87 homicides. Have you read about the gang violence in vancouver?, canada is no better.

I was turned away at the boarder last Sept for a blemish on my record from 10 yrs ago…I was never arrested or jailed…paid a fine and went on my way. From what I understand a DUI will keep you out of Canada for life…nice to see that they bend the rules for little tarts like this but keep out middle aged hardworking citizens who have no drug/booze problems…

Same thing happened to a band I was in. A couple guys had DUI's on their record and Canada puts those in the same category as felonies! We had to pay $400 each to just play a gig!!
