      I am one for gay rights and marriage. However, I truly believe that this is getting way out of control. Miss. CA was honest with her answer and for that she has been bashed. If she had said she was for gay marriage - she would have been bashed by others. Either way - her answer was true to her. Not everyone is going to agree with her answer but I think this girl is getting slung through the mud for staying true to herself and beliefs. I wrote a letter to the editor to my local southern paper several months ago about something very similar to this. I was bashed for taking up for gay rights and marriage. I am just lucky that no one went digging up my past to bash me. Perez, I love you… but I think enough is enough. I don't think this is helping equal rights at all.

      The only part that I saw was when the lady you were debating said that at this point Miss California should be left alone and that the debate should return to where it should be, on the issue of gay marriage. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be happy, and equal rights for all, gay or straight.       This world has become odd…… I find it weird today that if you mention gay equality is wrong and immoral, you are now set aside as someone who does not intend to live life as it should be.
