Open Invite to Kirstie Alley: Let's Get That Ass Moving!
We mentioned earlier that Kirstie Alley is fat…well, fatter, and she is hoping to get back onto the dieting wagon.
The Cheers alum might get a little help from pal and fellow spokeswoman of Jenny Craig, Valerie Bertinelli.
When asked about her fellow dieter and her recent bikini pics, Kirstie cited her as being "stunning" and "inspiring". She even told People:
"It’s like the student surpassed the teacher, who is now over there in the corner, fat!”
Hahaha. Fact!
But Bertinelli to the rescue! She wants very much to help Kirstie return to her former weight. She tells People:
"She should come work out with me! She should remember you can't do everything in one day [and] her exercise has to be consistent. She can do this. There's no doubt in my mind."
Somebody swoop in and get this reality show. It would be awesome!

Your a fine one to talk, Prez. Even though I'm not heavey I understand it is a struggle for a lot of people. So she lost weight and gained it back. Big deal. That about the story of 1/3 of the people in the US. It's not healthy to be fat but don't crucify someone over it.

Why is Kirstie's weight such an obsession for so many people? So what if she's heavier than she was. That doesn't change the person she is inside. Yes, she needs to be healthy and she wants to work on that. Good for her, but in the meantime people need to stop the nasty, vicious comments (like the "Moos" you put on her photo, you bitch!) which are very hurtful and definitely not supportive or encouraging. Perez, you of all people should be more supportive and understanding, since you're battling your own weight issues. You're a nasty, mean and ugly person and you should be ashamed. this really disappoints me. i've followed you for years, but to just be blatantly mean because she's gained weight…is beyond me. as others have said here, you were once under the spell of food, and you found your motivation. she will either find hers and do something about it, or be happy with herself and live the way she is. i don't see the point for such crude comments about put the food down etc. i'm going to start searching for another blog to read instead of this one.

I have a lot of respect for Kirstie. The most unattractive thing about her is her self-depracating remarks and refering to herself as fat. Maybe if she fed her self-respect with the fact that she has overcome many, potentially fatal addictions, including smoking. If she can do this surely she can ramp up the strength and courage to live a healthier lifestyle… one day at a time. For her and not to prove anything to anyone else. I hope she does another comedy.
