That's right! No more additions will be made to the Octo-Army.
In a candid interview with Nadya Suleman, the Octo-mom reveals that she will be checking into the hospital this weekend to have benign fibroid tumors removed from her uterus. This procedure will make further pregnancies virtually impossible.
Yay!!!!!!!!!
Suleman admits she is "terrified" of the procedure and even has gone as far as to have a will drawn up in case anything happens to her during the procedure. When asked who would get custody of the children, she simply replied with a "very trustworthy" Christian couple.
Honestly, this is really good news. This woman seriously needs to never have any more kids!

Yeah…this doesn't sound right. Exactly how LONG has she had these fibroid tumors? My mother lost a pregnancy due to fibroid tumors because as the uterus expands the tumors grow…so it would have been virtually impossible for her to have carried EIGHT fetuses in her uterus if she's had these fibroids before.

Octo-mom is having FIBROIDS removed, not her uterus. Fibroid removal does NOT make you infertile and doesn't hinder getting pregnant. If she getting the radiation beads, then their maybe a problem, not not necessarily.
Personally, I'm not buying this story. She had a C-section. if she had fibroids at the time, they could have removed them then. She's just hunting for symphany again. Grimey bitch.

I can't stand OctoUterus, but I'm glad she's having the surgery performed before it's too late. And it is a bonus that her womb with a view will be shut down for good…but it probably won't stop her from trying to get the remaining eggs hatched and keep them (really, she should give them to a family that is childless and wants children, but no…she'll horde all the kids).

There are 3 ways to have one or more fibroids removed, in order of severity: 1) have just the tumor removed by cutting it off the uterine lining, 2) have a uterine ablation where the endometrium is burned away by scalding liquid, or 3) have the uterus removed. I had a fibroid removed a couple of years ago by removing just the tumor, and it was NO BIG DEAL. One of my sisters had her uterus removed because of a large number of huge tumors, and this required a hospital stay of several days. Given what Perez wrote, I think Octo-Mom is having a uterine ablation. This used to be considered as a less-invasive hysterectomy but has been proven to actually improve fertility in older women who have thick uterine linings. It also is usually day surgery unless something goes wrong.
i bet you she isnt going in the hospital for the procedure she mentioned …… she is probably going in for more invetro and in a couple of months she will state that she is pregnant and its a miracle because she had this "procedure" that makes the new babies a miracle……
Fibroid afflict many women (the older you get the more likely you will have them) and there are all sorts of procedures these days to treat them. Many go on to have babies. So unless she is getting her uterus removed, she is still able to carry a baby in many cases. She should get a tubal ligation however.
