The Vatican Reviews Angels & Demons And Deems It "Harmless"

The Vatican's very own newspaper has passed its judgement on the new Ron Howard/Tom Hanks flick Angels & Demons, and has deemed the film "a gigantic and smart commercial operation" littered with "stereotyped characters," but ultimately just "two hours of harmless entertainment, which hardly affects the genius and mystery of Christianity."
Earlier this week, Howard had spoken out against the Vatican for refusing the production film permits.
L'Osservatore Romano, who reviewed the film, suggested that one could make a game of pointing out all of its historical inaccuracies.
Yeah, and we could make a game out of counting all the church's hypocrisies.

I think what's hypocritical is changing a 15 year old girl's name from Miley Cyrus to "Slutty" Cyrus and only changing it back to Miley Cyrus after she had defended gay people and their want of an "equality." Brown's work is notoriously inaccurate. And lame. The reviewer is right, the movie simply exists to entertain, not to present a feasible "alternate history" or real conspiracy theory. Therefore, I think the reviewer's statement is justified and fair. Perez's needless childish and stereotyping editorializing, not so much.

Ron Howard and Tom Hanks have totally ruined these excellent books for me. Tom Hanks is no Robert Langdon, Harrison Ford in his Indy days absolutely. I saw the Da Vinci Code for free thank God and it was absolute crap and what the hell was the story with Tom Hanks ridiculous hair do. Tom Hanks is a great actor but he is definately not sexy, or attractive.
