An $85 million opening weekend isn't enough for Fox, which is whining about "losing" $28.7 million to the 4 million people who watched the pirated version of Wolverine.
As if anyone can prove that those 4 million would have seen it in the theaters at all or that some of those 4 million didn't also pay to go see the film on the big screen.
As if!
Wolverine has had the best opening of any movie this year.
The point is the movie is hugely popular, illegally, legally, and somewhere in-between.

I saw the dl someone had ….and in the theaters…so they are full of crap
saw the leaked version ONLINE, it is missing CGI and shows wires and ropes on the actors backs.
JUST GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND SEE IT IN THEATRES.
whats even more depressing is that the film is a total joke full of cheesy one-liners and predictable plot "twists." hugh jackman's arms and nakedness is its only success.
I really don't want to see this movie, It looks like a over hyped hollywood puke fest.

the leak is a marketing move, of course you'll have to watch it in the movies since the leaked version is a raw version.

I saw the downloaded version with about 10 of my friends
We couldn't wait to see it the theatre with surround sound & full CGI … and we all DID. I'd bet most who saw the raw film went to see the finished product in full glory 
I saw it way before it came out but it didnt have all the cool special fx. who cares, i didnt have to pay the 12 or 13 dollars..
they have every right to complain. putting it online and people downloading it-whether the person who made it available for free and charged for it-that person or persons stole from fox. don't know if they overestimated the amount of people who saw it on line, but the fact is-it was a theft-the same way when someone buys dvds off the street from someone who recorded it in the movie theater or had a bootleg copy. The company the spent millions making the movie ends up getting nothing, the person making the copies (thief) gets the money.
After seeing the movie on bootleg, I didnt see in theaters. The plot just wasnt good enough for me to sit thru twice. I'm happy I didnt waste my money.
and just HOW do they know that people who downloaded didn't also go see it in the theatres? the industry is getting ridiculous with claims like this. maybe if Hollywood stopped producing CRAP and stopped recycling ideas, and the music industry stopped producing crap albums that have more than one good song on them, people wouldn't take issue with spending their money on the products.

I watched it on MegaVideo illegally, but it was the version before all the graphics were put in and my friends (who had mostly all seen it the same way) and I went and saw it in theatres too. The illegal version peaked our interest. Without that, I doubt we would've bothered at all. They lost no money from us, they gained it!

this movie isn't even that good. It's not baaaad, but it's not good, the only reason it made 85 million is because Hugh Jackman is hot, and all the xmen fans go to see all the movies.. greedy bastards.. lol
