   Yeah, there's 13 of 'em. I've known about them for years (Super Junior, DBSK, BoA, Rain, Wheesung, etc.), but I've never been a fan. I actually think none of them are cute, and a lot of them are too feminine, which happens a lot on Japanese boybands, but isn't always so in Korean boybands. In Korean boybands, it more about being pretty than skinny, and non-threatening to the kiddies. Still, to each thir own.

   I like DBSK a WHOLE lot more.

    Re: hangook – Actually, you can't blame keri2634 for thinking that. It could be a totally poppy, or techno song, and there's always a rapper popping in on J-Pop or K-Pop (happens more in K-Pop). If this is Keri's first exposure to K-Pop, then that could be their first impression. Hell, I've ben listening to K-Pop and J-Pop for years, and I've noticed the hip hop trend.

Unless you know the countries culture, you'll understand the mannerisms and the image they produce. There are Asians and than there are Western Asians. Our perception on mannerisms is very different. You also should remember, a lot of these singers in these boy bands are still very young.

Don't dain to that you can lecture me on Asian culture. I fucking study it. I know the difference between U.S. Asian, and other asian cultures. I just gave my opinion on this particular group, and the trends I've noticed in Japanese and Korean boybands as a person who enjoys this, and other cultures' music.

    I can name all 13 members plus the two members of the chinese sub-group (They have a total of 4 sub different sub groups) Super Junior M easily.

I don't mind some feminine guys, but seriously Heechul is one living proof. Myself as an Asian and usually don't dislike feminine guys but Sungmin and Heechul are just… ughing me. Though I have to say Heechul is hilarious and i like Sungmin on starking as a magician :3 but other than that i don't really like them a lot. lol.
    Though the kpop boybands coming out are def getting younger and younger.

    I'm a 40 year old white male and I love Korean pop music. This is by far the best song on SJ's new CD. They also have a dance only music video, just featuring them dancing while the camera moves back and forth. For a hot new song, check out Yoo Chae Young's "Is OK" and Davichi's "My Man"

They aren't exactly the same, but their general sound is a little irritating to me. Don't get me wrong, a few of their songs have been catchy, but a majority have not. Basically a personal preference thing.

    Re: Da Libster – I don't think it's really about itsthequietones' "listening." It's more about repitition (exposure to the music) and having a connection with the artist. Because there's so many of them, people might get confused. With 4 or 5 member boybands, members have clear roles: baritone, soprano, guy-who-hits-falsetto, nasally-guy, etc. There's roles on SuJu, but new people might have a hard time picking out which one does what.
