"The Arthritis Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that supports the more than 100 types of arthritis and related conditions. Founded in 1948, with headquarters in Atlanta, the Arthritis Foundation has multiple service points located throughout the country. The Arthritis Foundation is the largest private, not-for-profit contributor to arthritis research in the world, funding more than $380 million in research grants since 1948. The foundation helps people take control of arthritis by providing public health education; pursuing public policy and legislation; and conducting evidence-based programs to improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis."

Perez thank you SO MUCH for featuring this. I am 22 years old and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis almost 3 years ago. It's completely altered my everyday life and I am subjected to pain every single day. People do not understand how much of a struggle it is, because people with arthritis "don't look sick".

Perez! Thanks for drawing attention to arthritis. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 35, hardly an 'old person'. I work as an advocate to dispel the notion that this is just an 'old person' disease. More than 46 million Americans are afflicted with some form of arthritis. It's painful and debilitating, and more attention needs to be paid. Thank you!!

Thanks Perez for featuring this. I was diagnosed at the age of 2 and have suffered with it all my life. It has done visible damage to my joints and altered the way I am able to do things. I think a lot more attention should be focused on it, so with your audience that can be achieved….thanks again for posting.

      Perez,
Thank you so much for posting information about the Arthritis Foundation. I am an employee of the Arthritis Foundation and have learned so much about arthritis and the 100 other related diseases. Before I began working for the Foundation, I like many others, thought arthritis was an "old person's disease." Boy, was I sorely mistaken! Today, there are 46 million American's doctor diagnosed and 300,000 children. I have met some really strong people that battle this disease and live in pain daily.
I feel so lucky to work for such a great organization that helps so many people!
If you live in the Chicago area, I encourage you to come to one of our walks - www.ChicagoArthritisWalks.org.

      Thanks again, Perez!

This is a really great cause! All types of arthritis affect people of all ages, including teen girls like me. I have arthritis in both of my knees and I'm certainly not looking forward to living with it for the rest of my life, but its always good to know there's a foundation looking to help people like me.

Thanks for posting this Perez! Like the others that have posted, I am a young person (29) suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is painful, frustrating and most of all scary, but the Foundation has helped me so much. I've found an awesome support group and absolutely love the aquatics programs they have cultivated. I recently participated in the SF Valley walk and was able to raise over $1,000 for the cause. It feels good.

Thank you Perez for posting about Arthritis!
I was diagnosed just over a year ago with Rheumatoid Arthritis and it has changed my life forever!
There are so many sides to this disease because it's not the same for everyone and it's misunderstood by so many people.
I am just praying for the day, I no longer have to take biologics and not worry about the infection cycle. Those that need it eventually end up taking very dangerous, potent drugs that suppress the immune system that it causes even further health problems.
So, it definitely does suck because you need the potent drugs to function like as normal as possible, but it can also cause more harm in the future.
To those that posted, hang in there and God Bless.
