Celeb chef Gordon Ramsay loves being on television - and he wants Simon Cowell's job!
During a recent interview, the star of Hell's Kitchen was asked if he'd be interested in taking Simon's spot on American Idol when if the judge steps down next season.
And after explaining how busy his own schedule is, Gordon added that "Definitely, of course I would [do it]."
Duh!
Who wouldn't want that gig?
Would Simon actually walk away from it, though???
However, with the amount of money Cowell is making per season, we're sure Fox could snag up Ramsay for cheap.
We'd still prefer to have a judge with some music experience, though.
Just because you can judge a cooking competition doesn't mean you can judge a singing one!

The fact is you promote concerts and artists…for money. But what do you KNOW abuot music? You know what you like. You might be a "better informed" consumer, but you're still a consumer. Has Simon written any songs? I don't know. Honest question. What has he done besides produce? Paula we know. Randy, really, is the most qualified of them. Kara is a complete airhead. I know you could do a better job then her. But that ain't sayin' much, homz.

I think I hate this guy even more than Simon. At least Simon's critiques make sense. Gordon just yells at people for shock value. Can he even cook? What a big ass douchebag, he must be to think that it is ok to treat people that way.
I love Gordon he is sexy in an odd way… But he is too rough for American Idol..if he would take on a position in the jury of Britains got Talent that would be different..

Gorden Ramsay seems like a very interesting character, although I couldn't ever imagine eating the food he cooks. It must be full of bad vibrations since he shouts a lot!

i think it would be nice to have the opinion of someone outside the music industry on idol… because the judges that are in the music industry, just know what they know, but don't know what us, regular ppl want. trends change and music style changes. the judges are always looking for the same stuff.

I love Chef Ramsey, but come on. He's a CHEF. And he's being considered to be a singing judge? Why? Just because he's mean and British? To find a brit that'll fit the qualifications for being a judge on American Idol is not a needle in a haystack. It's more like shooting fish in a barrel.
