David Cook Returns To Tour With Heavy Heart

Only a week after his dear brother's death, David Cook got back to his tour this past weekend.
The clearly heartbroken singer took the stage in Akron, Ohio, and struggled through several of his performances, though he made no actual mention of the tragedy. During one of his songs, Cook stopped to address the audience by saying: "It's gonna be tough for me. I'm sorry. Do you mind if I sing a different song?"
Reports also said that Cook walked off the stage entirely during his song Come Back to Me, but returned five minutes later.
Our thoughts go out to you David.

loosing someone really close to you is so hard to ever get entirely over it.

I love David Cook's music, however, I think many people who voted for him were disappointed when he started dating that kim caldwell chick. She is a D list loud mouth host streatching out her 15 minutes with an A list winner of American Idol. Fans are a higher perception of him than they did her. I feel bad for David, no one should have to feel the pain he is feeling. I think his music and staying busy will get him through.
Poor guy. It's amazing he's already back at it doing his thing. I have so much respect for that. For him. It took me MONTHS to recover when my dad died. Stay strong, David!
he's an amazing man and I believe his star is meant to burn bright. I will always be a fan and the strength and charm he shows every day only solidfies how I feel about him. I am gonna be seeing him in about two weeks and I cannot wait.
David Cook is a great artist and human being. But I find it hella funny that since his brother died, suddenly Perez is writing nice things about David. Wasn't it just a couple months ago Perez was posting that david was a "douche" and completely twisting a blog David wrote and manipulating it to be something it wasn't? I've always been a fan of David, in my opinion he's the first ARTIST to come from American idol- and as a David Cook fan I will say that I think Perez Hilton is a phoney and an idiot… just a couple months ago he was trashing David, now he's acting like he's a fan and cares so much about what David is going through. Perez Hilton- you are a joke and pretty much a complete waste of space. So thankful your 15 minutes of fame are coming to an end. this report is actually 100% true. im from akron and when i was home from ohio state last weekend there was an article in the akron beacon journal about the performance, and apparently he had a tough time getting through a lot of songs, which is understandable.

I'm sure if it was David's choice, none of this would have happened. This isn't a ploy at more publicity. His brother passed away and the media doesn't seem to want to let him grieve in privacy, per usual.
I've seen the video when David had to walk off stage. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I commend him for making it through the concert and following his brothers wishes to keep going.
