Jon Stewart Diving Into The History Biz

Consider The Daily Show's Jon Stewart your new social studies teacher!
The Emmy-winning funnyman will be producing a two-hour doc for History Channel called The Naturalized exposing the United States' naturalization process. The special "follows eight individuals through the bureaucratic morass of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services… [and] will also include interviews with undocumented and deported illegal immigrants."
Def a topic that should be touched upon!
"It's a look at that process that is very much in Jon's tone and manner," History Channel VP Nancy Dubuc revealed. "The early stuff we're seeing is quite funny but really poignant and relevant."
The special will be produced through Stewart's production company, Busboy, and for all you Jon-a-philes out there, there is a chance that Stewart may appear in the special!
Said Dubuc, "This is a topic that he appreciates."
Fingers crossed!

Does he still do the standup shows? It would be great if he came over to do some in England. I'm actually watching some of his past shows on youtube while I'm supposed to be studying for exams, lol.
Re: SWEETPIECE! –
Love you sweetpiece.
.
Totally ripe for a doc–the worst hour in my life was standing in line at immigration (and I'm a white, US-born citizen). The way the workers treat people coming to them for help is disgusting.
I'm absolutely positive that the show will be completely fair and won't engage in lies, misleading statements, or illogical arguments in an attempt to help the Dems obtain race-based power. No, there won't be any of that.
Re: perezwho –
Word.
Hopefully he will explore how the Immigration Services completely discriminates against gay couples by not recognizing their marriages.
I love this man. I actually couldn't love him anymore without becoming a weirdo!!
Re: LonewackoDotCom – yea ,it's not like this is the same shit stain that called Harry Truman a war criminal and than a day latter had to eat his shit on the air. This should be emmy material foe sure!
I'm a big fan of Jon Stewart. Not so much of illegals.
Re: Chaucer – Awe! oxox
LOVE LOVE LOVE him!!
I'll watch anything Jon Stewart does.
Pathetic that we look to comedians and former sportscasters for our lessons in history.
Sad state of affairs.
oh man this sucks. i used to LOVE the history channel and watch it a lot when i was a teenager, but lately its been total partisan bullshit.
hey it worked so well for msnbc, right?? oh wait . . .
He is golden!
