What's New Line got in store for Valentine's Day?
Apparently some "romantic comedy" movie mixed with A-Listers and Z-Listers.
The flick is being directed by Garry Marshall and will feature five "slightly interconnecting stories" that will play out during Valentine's Day.
As for the cast, it will likely include celebs Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Garner. Also said to be in the final negotiations to star in the flick are Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, and Jessica Biel.
Looks like an odd mix to us.
As for producing the movie, that will be Mike Karz along with Wayne Rice.
The movie currently has a $30 million budget range, though if Roberts is gonna star in the flick, you know that budget isn't including salary.
If you'd like to read more about the plot, check it out below. The movie will apparently deal with the following story lines:
"- Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player.
- Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend is married.
- Shirley MacLaine plays Roberts' mother, a happy retiree who reveals to her husband a long-ago affair.
- Hathaway is an assistant working at the biggest talent agency in town and dating a mailroom assistant; Biel is a publicist unlucky in love (is there any other kind?) who has no date on Valentine's Day.
Major roles still to be cast are the gay football player, MacLaine's husband, the mailroom worker, a talent agent and a young boy looking to give his crush some flowers."

It actually sounds interesting… though I'd rather not see Kutcher or Biel in it. I think they are overrated.

NO - Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba & Jennifer Garner are the most annoying actresses ever. They're so plain they fade into the background and I don't like them at all. What a bunch of butterfaces with athletic bodies. I would watch if it had scarlett johanson and elisha cuthbert, megan fox & Eliza Dushku.
i would most likely see this movie. It sounds very interesting and should some good laughs out of it

This one has all the makings of a HUGE bust. Too many stories but not one good one. Too many actors but not one interesting one. Romantic comedies that have one person leaving their fiancee for a person they just met make my teeth itch. If there was one person in Hollywood that controlled all the stories I would petition them to stop using that old theme!

What makes you think Julie Roberts is still such hot stuff. The budget does include salaries. She's lucky to still be getting work. Anne Hathaway is the only A-lister in there.
