Depeche Mode's Lead Singer Rushed To Greek Hospital!

Sad news!
Before performing in Athens, Greece, Depeche Mode's lead singer Dave Gahan fell ill and had to be rushed to the hospital!
The concert promoters were the bearers of bad news to a crowd of 20,000 Depeche Mode fans waiting for the group to take the stage on Tuesday.
No word yet on the status of Gahan's health or if any more of Depeche Mode's tour dates will be cancelled.
What a bummer!

yes I'm from Greece and I know this first hand.depeche mode is one of my favorite bands and one of best for the last 30 yrs.the fans here are very angry cos they were told about dave's "illness" literally the last second when the band should be on stage.they said he had a problem with his stomach.this better be true.I hope he's not back in heroin.he's supposed to be clean now.

Stupid divaism…anyone can perform with a shot of B12…but nooooo…he had to be rushed to the hospital. and now the fans are angry with the organising company.
he was all too well for the meet and greet before the concert and a small gold record ceremony. but he couldn't perform…noooo…he had to rush to the hospital
and of course, once more you've got something wrong Perez: there were more than 30,000 people in the venue waiting for Depeche Mode to perform but noone ever saw them!

He was fine at 20.30 for the meet & greed event with 3 fans backstage.
Then at 21.30 they decided he's been ill allday and was unable to perform after all? And was rushed to the hospital? Come on darling!!
Ask about his dressing room.. sources say, well it doesn't look like a dressing room anymore… that's all you're getting from me. now do your thing and give your people the rest of this story!

I would just like to point out that they were recently in Israel and there is a good chance Dave just ate something that hit him…whats the big? I believe in him and would never think he was using again- he has come too far. Reach out and touch faith people.

I had ALL their tapes in Highschool… I can sing all the lyrics. That was a big deal to me! I spent my hard earned money on them in Highschool where I worked as a dishwasher. I love these guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt he's on drugs again, just based on how well he's singing these days. But you never know. Dave got sick on the last tour too and I had to have my tickets for the '06 Chicago show refunded. The greece show was just the third gig into the tour! I bet the fans went ape shit. Maybe Martin could have came out and sang the songs and performed a make-shift set, but Depeche tends to play the same setlist from show to show.
Hope he's not shooting up again.
