I am SOOO confused by all of this "freedom of speech" defenses… yes it is true, we all have the right to free speech… but if our "speech" is bigoted and hateful we also have to suffer the consequences that come with our "free speech"! Miss Prejean is crying on TV now, saying that she is being punished for her beliefs… the poor girl is experiencing intolerance towards her intolerance… and now she is standing up for "empowering woman"… her idea of empowering woman involves taking your clothes off and posing naked for the enjoyment of strangers… Thank you for the "empowerment" girlfriend!!! I've pretty much kept silent on this topic but I feel compelled to say somthing now.

I am agnostic. I believe in God and that HE has a certain expectation in how we live our lives, but I refuse to participate in "organized" religion because the way his word is interpreted and administered in controlled by imperfect people who feel they have the right to tell us what his word means.

As far as this marriage thing goes, if you intend to marry as the bible indicates, by an ordained minister, then yes it would apply to a uniun between a man and a woman. But I think that, two men or two women can raise a family and should be accorded the rights of any other FAMILY. That means health care, spousal support, insurance, etc.

There are lots of loving people in this world that just want to live and be happy and share the rights that everyone else does. It still boggles my mind that drug addicted, neglectful, abusive people have more rights when it comes to sposes and children than loving responisible people!
