Murray and Burton Leaving One Tree Hill!

One Tree Hill stars Chad Michael Murrary and Hilarie Burton will NOT be returning for another season. Both actors have had very heated and high profile squabbles about their contracts.
Translation: They want more money and instead of being grateful that someone actually hired a failed MTV VJ and just another pretty face, they're walking away for not getting what they want!
Both actors will make their final appearances next Monday on the season finale. An insider says that two new cast members will be included to take the place of the main characters.
Not that we REALLY care, but please…please don't let it be current guest star Nick Lachey. The guy is a tool and should not be encouraged anymore then he is!

First, Michael Rosenbaum off of Smallvlle and now THIS? What's going on w/ the C-Dub? I'm thinking that next season of OTH is going to be a whole lotta nothing like Smallville was THIS season. Not to mention DEPRESSING if everyone's going to be mourning Peyton. *sigh*
okay. so I have been a fan of the OTH for awhile but let's face it…once the main characters leave the show it is time to call it quits. The whole show revolves around Lucus Scott, Chad Michael Murray, so it seems pointless to try and make it work. The ratings will go down and the show will end up cancelled. I am not surprised that Murray is wanting to more money though. We all know the guy is an ass…considering he cheated on Sophia Bush after three months of marriage. However, it does disappoint me that Burton is making a fuss over money, she is married to one of the producers so I am pretty sure she is doing just fine. Okay well those are my comments about this and now I am going to go get a life. Tootles!

this cant be true…there going to REPLACE the 2 main characters?!?!!? theres no point of even continuing with the show. im pissed i love that show and i love peyton& lucas. hopefully its just a rumor…although i heard that alot of them didnt really want to do the show anymore. bummer its a great show.
Perez, I love your site but this statement is wrong! HILARIE BURTON DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! But because the writers are the worlds biggest ASSES, they are forcing her to so her character and Lucas can have a happy ending. Chad chose to leave I could care less, his acting sucks and he appears to be an ass in real life, but Hilarie was FORCED TO LEAVE! I really wish you could update this post and correct this mistake.
i doubt i will watch s7. s6 sucked, peyton is my fave character. actually, she is not failed, she has done several indie films, so fuck off perez. i think it is stupid of them to ask for a lot more money, the show only has about one season left in it anyway. should have ended after s4, and veronica mars should have been renewed.

anyone who calls hilarie burton a failure clearly doesn't follow her career at all. and calling her a failed vj doesnt even make any sense. she left mtv to do one tree hill and has set up an entire life for herself in wilmington where OTH is shot. the girls whole family moved down there and now they kick her off. unlike chad she isnt moving to LA to continue her career, she is staying in town and has started a company to promote filmmaking in the state of north carolina. that place is her home now and it sucks for her to be kicked off her own show. this story needed to be better researched before being posted because it is NOT her decision to go and she was very, very unhappy about it. this was NOT her decision, it was all on the CW and they should be shouldering the blame for it.

Hilarie Burton was forced to leave because of CMM. She is NOT the greedy one, she is getting taken down with CMM even though it's not her fault. Watch her video people. Why would she want to be off the show that films where she permanently lives? She does EVERYTHING for OTH fans. Shame on you guys for calling her ungrateful when she has been nothing but and goes above and beyond for fans she meets. I agree, Perez check your facts and get the story straight. If anyone should get blamed it's CMM.

im calling it now, mark my words.
by the 5th episode of next season, ratings will be down at least 20%, and will continue to fall. people will stick it out for a few episodes to see if it's any good, and when they realize a SHOW SUCKS WHEN YOU WRITE OFF YOUR LEAD MALE AND FEMALE, they are going to stop watching. This was a really stupid move on the CW's part and shows their lack of creativity. They could've easily kept Peyton on the show part time. And people who think you're going to get more Brooke or Nathan or whoever, guess again. They are adding at least 3 new season regulars. Get ready for another season of Mouth and Millie boringness.
