Mommyhood has really made Nicole Richie a more giving person!
Paris Hilton's former BFF is teaming up with other celebs for a good cause.
Nicole, along with Anna Getty, Amy Smart, and Rosario Dawson, are doing their part to improve the environment and help keep schools green.
Richie and crew are helping the Environmental Media Association, who's teamed up with the Los Angeles Unified School District to bring organic gardens and goodies to urban schools.
With the partnership, schools will receive additional funds and will also be gifted with "celebrity mentoring" through EMA's Young Hollywood Board.
Other celeb mentors are said to include members of Maroon 5, Matthew Rhys and Maria Menounos.
Nicole attended an event for the program on Tuesday in El Lay.

Not only motherhood, it definetely started when she separated from Paris, that was Nicole's life decision, she was smart enough to distance herself from such a bad influence, I luv the new Nicole!
I want everyone reading this site to know that Perez Hilton is not a representative of the gay right's movement. Too many people have worked far too long and far too hard, and sacrificed way too much - in some cases their lives - for one person's self-aggrandizement to throw all of that in reverse. If anyone would care to have a healthy, intelligent debate about legalizing gay marriage, without fear of being called a "dumb bitch" or having your family maligned, I am available.

I thought she was pregs. I think Nicole is the only woman in the world that doesn't show AT ALL when with child. Kind of weird, but that is nice that she's donating her time to good causes!

No Nicole is not a fashion icon, although she would like you to think so, read your history of fashion, look at the pictures, as everything she does has been DONE before. The only people impressed are those who do not know the history of fashion. I know she tries to help people, and I respect that, but really, I have worked with children born in extreme poverty in this country, they need good nutrition, safe, clean schools, and mentors who can guide them in a healthy medium, not a woman who wants only to be a celebrity.

@21 Your right! it's nothing more than a photoshoot, carefully planned by her publicist to give the impression that she gives a rats ass. I remember a children's hospital charity that her and her husband were at, and of coarse it was turned into a press event *rollseyes* and she was asked why the charity was important? and she sounded as if she just walked in from the street, clearly sounding as if she was told that this would help her image. It's sad that alot of people are sheep. Some celebrities give to charities privately it's not a tacky publicity stunt.
