Well, that's great news, but not necessarily a reason why they should get back together. It's the opposite of that, in fact. If he is convinced that she's having sex with other men, just because she's spending time with another man, and the man is gay and has a boyfriend, that sounds like crazy talk on Peter's part (and by crazy I mean paranoid, controlling, abusive).
