Kate Speaks Some More - And Is All Negative!

In the latest issue of People magazine, reality TV's favorite ice-cold mother, Kate Gosselin, opens up about the recent scandal surrounding her and husband Jon - and how even though she's hoping for the best, the worst might be yet to come.
She says, "I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing. I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this person?' for a while."
Them are some fighting words!
Kate also recalls the first time she heard the name of her husband's supposed mistress, Deanna Hummel, saying, "I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."
She likens considering divorce to the moment she found out she was pregnant with sextuplets, saying that at first it was "pure shock and denial," but over time, "when your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios."
Despite circumstances, Kate says, "I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again."

Having kids is the hardest friggin thing in the world! Don't have a baby or EIGHT of them until you are ready to truly commit your life to every thing baby/kid! You won't have a life that is remotely like the one you had ever again! It's very stressful and difficult. I can understand how people, how this Jon guy, could WANT to escape. (I never would, but as a Mom who has experienced the stress of small children, I understand the feeling.)
If she had class she would keep these issues private. She is no different from Octomom in her desire to trade her privacy and her family for attention for herself. She seems like a tyrannical witch, and I hope that Jon and his kids eventually free themselves from her! How anyone can watch her on tv is beyond me.

I really think that if she truly believes in "what's best" for her family, she'd take a break from the show and get out of the "limelight". That's how she lost all her friends and why she is feeling so lonely. It's apparently just too much stress! For anyone! They need to stop thinking about the fame and the money!!! ok i have been a fan of the show for years, and kate is really not that bad and if you have actually watched the show the whole way through people would see this. yes she is strict but there is no doubt she loves her family. so what if they are attention whores, this is the money they will use to get EIGHT kids through college and life..give them a break

My opinion is that they're already separated. All I've heard is how they both want what's best for the kids, how the family is the most important thing to them and how everyone can someday be happy again. What I haven't heard is how they love each other, the marriage is important to them and they want to things work. Jon isn't cheating because possibly Kate already knows.
I wouldn't wish celebrity fame on anyone but I guess that's why you get paid the big bucks. Kate, is it worth it?

The curse of reality TV strikes again. Haven't people figured out if they do a reality TV show their going to get a divorce. I think the only family who has made it is the Little People Big World.
At least she has the right mentality, no matter what happens her and her kids happiness will always be the goal. Thing is, once you are a parent your priorities change… sometimes people lose touch with each other because they concentrate too much on their kids and stop working their marriage. Unfortunately, alot of times this ends up in divorce and then when the kids are grown and don't require constant attention the parent is then left regretting their decision to focus only on the kids and ignore their spouse. although with 8 kids, its pretty hard to focus on keeping your marriage successful… but if both people are willing to do what each other needs there is a possibility of it working. Its just up to the 2 people involved and nobody else.
i hope they break up. it would make the show more interesting. how many damn crafts can they make those kids do??

perez, what are the chances that you will ever know what it is like to raise a child, never mind 8 children? the birth of a child is a strain on the marriage, multiple births- the divorce rate is high because of the cost, time and stress that comes along with the children. they had wanted 1 more child and 6 eggs were produced. yes, she is demanding and obsessive, BUT with that many children only a few years apart, you basically have too. JON is too laid back. If they were both like him, they would be on CLEAN HOUSE or married with children instead. He has reaped the rewards of being on that show, from getting his plugs to the many trips and upgrades on houses. If he does leave her, If I were her, I would insist on joint custody and drop those kids on him for six months-right away and give him a rude awakening. and let his 23 yo bimbo go screaming off to the hills.

Regarding Deanna Hummel - this is what I want to know. Now usually, I'm all about defending the unmarried woman fooling around with a married man - change the genders, it doesn't matter. Bottom line is that the only one with fault in a scenario like that is the married person - they're the only one breaking promises. However. In this case, if it's true that this gal is seeing a married father of 8 children under the age of 10, I think she needs her head examined. What kind of fool woman signs on for a role in a public, paparazzi scrutinized divorce, judgement as a 'homewrecker' by this nasty, judgmental society we live in, the emotional drain of a ex with very valid (8 very valid) reasons to be in constant communication, and a new boyfriend who's going to be broke for the rest of his life supporting 8 children from his first marriage???!!! I have watched this show since the first episode and have noticed how every season she gets a little worse!! I mean if you look at her during the first season, she looks all frumpy and not outgoing. Absolutely NO ONE knows what they are going through, unless they've had children. And even those of us who have had children can't possibly know what it is like to have 8 so young. I wish I had some of Kate's organization skills and her type A personality, as she is on top of things. She juggled it all and Jon always looked exhausted since he was obviously a bit more mellow. Someone had to take charge, and she was it since society always leaves that burden on the mother. It should have been a co-parenting situation. Unfortunately, she was raising another child as well, her husband.
The bottom line is that with all those children, they lost site of their love. I truly hope they can redefine their lives and find their way back to each other for the sake of the children. Many men are just that, big babies. They don't l ike that the wife devotes herself to the offspring and they get "jealous." Their egos need to be constantly stroked, instead of showing their children they are role models. Many turn to women, drugs or booze, and this is sad.
I hope things work out for them and the children in whatever way is best. But I would not want any woman, good, bad or indifferent around those kids. I think one thing they needed before and need desperately now is help. Psychotherapy yes, but more importantly, housekeepers and nannies and family. The one thing Kate does need to do is to learn to let go and let others help with her housekeeping duties…she seems to have a hard time delegating. Give it up for now Kate. The dust bunnies will be there forever,but your marriage and kids won't. Good luck!

She is not the super mom she claims she is. If she was, she'd be at home being a mother, not on the road being an attention whore. I think they are both a couple attention whores. She seems to be the worse of the two. She claims she's all high and mighty when she's even worse.
I have no sympathy for either of them. You made the decision to have 8 children, now deal with the consequences.
