Who Will Host The Tony Awards?
Many people were expecting funnyman Will Ferrell to host this year's Tony Awards. However, the heads running the awards show have decided to go after former Sopranos star James Gandolfini to host.
Uhm…..why?
According to reports, Tony nominee Gandolfini has been approached twice already in the past week about hosting this year's ceremony.
One source reveals about Gandolfini's reaction: "After he picked himself up off the floor, he said he was flattered to be asked but he isn't a song-and-dance man.
So for the time being Gandolfini will appear on the show, but only as a presenter.
An insider from Gandolfini's show, God of Carnage, adds that, "The truth is, he's a modest guy. He's having a good time on Broadway, but he's not going to get caught up in all the Tony nonsense."
