Governor Sarah Palin just thinks Carrie Prejean is the shit. In the good way.

Palin discusses the beauty queen with Fox News and blames the damn liberal media for the "malicious attacks" on Prejean.
Says Sexy Sarah: "I can relate as a liberal target myself. What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama and Secretary Clinton believe — marriage is between a man and a woman."
What we find just as remarkable is Palin's hair. She's got good hair, eh?
Palin goes on to say: "I respect Carrie for standing strong and staying true to herself, and for not letting those who disagree with her deny her protection under the nation's First Amendment Rights…Our Constitution protects us all — not just those who agree with the far left."

Ok, note to Palin, and Prejan, The first amendment protects you from the Government putting up barriers to your free speech etc… It does NOT protect you from people dissagreeing with you, or from people calling you a bigot if you have bigoted positions. I would understand the outrage if we wanted to inflict our beliefs on others or marry in the house of a god that allegedly condemns us, but for the most part I believe we don't want to marry for religious reasons or in religious institutions anyway.
Marriage should be defined by two consenting adults that love each other. It's a basic human right, and if we're locked in a society where we have to work and pay taxes to governments for our entire lives just to be able to buy something so basic as a house to live in, we should be respected this right of freedom. We're not asking for anarchy, we're not asking for anything more than what straight people enjoy every bloody day.

Marriage was defined by "a man and a woman" long before adoption agencies and science and fertility. In the beginning only a man and a woman could make a baby. It's still only a man and woman, but you can implant. What we're talking about is redefining something that is about "a man and a woman." Equal rights CAN be had in civil unions, so redefining marriage is not hatred, bigotry or whatever propaganda is. There is a way to equal rights.

you are a fool, the 1st amendment says that the GOVERNMENT will make no law abridging the right to free speech. HOWEVER that doesn't mean that if you work at Starbucks you can just say to all the customers who walk up "I'm sorry but I hate Catholics". Free speech would not protect you from being fired. You can say what you want, but you must also deal with the consequences of what you say. Again, if a Klansman said "Black people shouldn't be allowed to go to school" …sure, he has the right to say it, but that does NOT mean that the rest of us do NOT have the right to call him a racist.
