OK, I saw this trailer on Oprah yesterday, and I swear I didnt even notice Mariah Carey. It does look like a good movie, I am NOT a fan of Tyler Perry, but the movie does look good. Tyler Perry needs to quite hiding and come out of the closet.

Perez,
why must you only focus on Mariah Carey? She clearly isn't the main character in this new movie. And the other characters seem to have a much better role and acting abilities than Mariah. This movie is obviously NOT about Mariah and should get more attention for the ambition and determination values that the movie is trying to present. Once again you have belittled values that should be praised in this movie masterpiece.

Wow, thank God for Oprah and Tyler showcasing real drama, instead of two bitches fighting over a wedding day or some married keeblers having an affair on some damn beach or some young honkey that turns into a vampire. The movie trailer alone teared me up. Real drama!

Last weekend before Rudo Y Cursi (go see it if you like locker room shower scenes and /or soccer) I saw the trailer for her other recent effort, Tennessee, and it does not look impressive. The audience moaned throughout the trailer…her fake Southern accent just did not work.

WOW! This movie looks so good. I cried watching the trailer. Mariah's character looks bad, but that means her acting is probably good like Nicole Kidman in The Hours.

This also reminds me of Janet Jackson's character Penny when she was getting abused on Goodtimes by her mama. So sad. And I hope the writer's of those crappy Scary Movies don't make fun of Precious in their next spoof. Those idiots.

Liking High School Musical (which I admit I don't) doesn't mean that you won't like this, it just means that you're young and maybe you aspire for something different from your everyday life. Being open enough to just have fun for an hour or so, doesn't mean you don't have depth, or that you lack the understanding of serious subject matter.

looks like a really great movie, but black people aren't the only people to grow up like that. hardship, being broke, living in the ghetto, having to quit school to get a job and take care of a baby. every movie like that is a cast of black people. i did that, and i'm half white half spanish and i live in southern louisiana. make a story about that.

I saw this movie last year in a preview and I was blown away. It is very low budget which helps in the rawness of the picture. Kudos to Mariah. Her roll is very small but she knocks it. The lead is amazing. AND MONIQUE WOW. There are no words for her performance. Amazing movie.

This is an amazing trailer! I believe it's being distributed by LIONSGATE and yes, it's based on the novel PUSH. I know there was another movie that came out earlier this year by that name, so that's probably why they changed it to Precious: Based on PUSH a novel by Sapphire. Her name is Precious Jones. A friend of mine read the book and said that it was REALLY intense, but so moving…sooo moving. Reality is tough guys, black, white, hispanic, gay, straight, you name it. LEE DANIELS the director is so great for taking on this project. I absolutely cannot wait to see this. WOW o WOW!
