Scorsese Does Sinatra

Frank Sinatra's youngest daughter, Tina Sinatra, likes talking to the media.

During a recent interview, she just revealed who will be directing the new Universal biopic on her dad. At first she only hinted that the movie would be directed by "the most prominent Italian-American filmmaker" in Hollywood.

And after a few guesses, she finally confirmed it would be Martin Scorsese.

As for the flick, Sinatra claims it won't be a gangster picture. Instead it'll show him in a better light. Says Tina "I don't want him to be driving the getaway car. That would not be fair. But I trust him (Scorsese) implicitly."

According to trade reports, however, Scorsese is said to be in the final negotiations, yet his involvement hasn't been confirmed.

Considering that Scorsese has done several celebrity biopics already, like on Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, he seems like a great fit.

Let's hope the Sinatra flick isn't a bomb!

Scorsese didn't do biopics on Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, he did documentaries on them. He also did a documentary on the Band.

There's already a biopic about Sinatra. Called SINATRA. Which Tina had a hand in, and which I LOVE by the way. Anyway, I'm interested since Scorsese will be involved.

i can't wait for this movie to arrive at the local drive-in theater and for the soundtrack to be released on 8-track

hopefully the movie will also clear him from those pesky charges that he was a sexist, racist mobster that was also involved in marilyn monroe's death

WOO! Sinatra and Dean Martin forever! Frick its about damn time where the f*ck is the dean martin picture.. I hope this movie is awesome. People who still have taste in music .. real music with people who can actual sing appreciate Sinatra and are not dead

Martin Scorsese is a perfect fit for the project and it looks like more phenomenal talent has a good chance of signing on to the project too.
