Could this be the end of Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model?

This week, the CW aired the finale of ANTM. And according to the Nielsen Ratings, the show received a mere 4.2 million viewers.

That made it the least-watched Top Model finale ever!

In comparison, American Idol managed to bring in 24 million viewers last night, with CSI:NY bringing in 12.2 million.

Could this be it for ANTM?

      That's actually not a good comparison, because fox as a network gets WAY higher rating than CW, and American Idol is the #1 show for any network. A better comparison would be to any other CW show. Gossip Girls, for instance, only gets about 1/2 of the audience that ANTM got on their lowest rated finale. ANTM is CW's money maker, it ain't goin nowhere!

      Tyra's insane to have fired the only true supermodel judge she's actually had on the show - Paulina Porizkova. Probably because Paulina was/is the better model herself. It's gotta be all donwhill from here.

      I love Tyra and ANTM but this season wasn't very good. It seems that the women they are selecting are like the previous years contestants. I have found myself fast forwarding thru the episode until the end to see the final pictures and the loser.

      Tyra also seemed a bit out of it. Just not herself. Hope she's ok and the show keeps going. Just no more lame beginnings.

      When you post stories like this I feel you are out of touch and it discredits you a little. You pay no attention to ratings, of course, because you are too buy. I don't watch the show, but I do pay attention to ratings. The show pulled a 2.9 in 18-49 and no show on The CW does better. Compared to the other shows it does very well for them. It's already been renewed. It's not ending soon, probalby will be renewed again next year. Yawn to this lame uniformed story

      I stopped watching this show 2 seasons ago. Tyra is becoming wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to annoying and crazy, all the photo shoots are pointless and they never win anything really anymore.

      Re: s.amantha – I hate when people say the models aren't "making it". Models aren't famous like actors and singers are. Being in the tabloids does not equal success. Most, if not all, of the girls from America's Next Top Model are working as models. If not models, they've gotten many other jobs in fashion and journalism. People like you are shallow and ridiculous. Apparently fame is the only way a human can "make it".

      All i know is that once again, they failed miserably in picking the proper winner.
      I can't believe Allison didn't win. The other contestants weren't even in her league.
      The one that won is so ordinary looking that she's completely forgettable.
      I don't know why I watch this show. All I do is get pissed off at how bad their choices are. Like cutting off that other girls amazing long blonde hair making her look 10 years older.

      For some odd reason this cycle was just really boring, I only watched the first couple and didn't even think of it until last week. And it used to be something that I watched and kept track of, I have hopes for Canada's Next Top Model, and I hope next cycle of ANTM will be better.

      I enjoy watching the rest of the show that doesn't include Tyra, but I'm pissed Paulina got fired. Tyra needs to give up the show and let another model take over so she can concentrate on her talkshow and be a wannabee Oprah! Tyra and Jay aren't in sync nor getting along, and he basically runs the photoshoots. It's sad when he tells the models one thing, and she doesn't believe it and thinks they need to do something else. I think Celia and Natalie should've been the final two with Celia winning.

      According to Aussiello on EW it's already been renewed! Actually, it's aparently THE most popular/most watched CW show. Which really blows considering they are thinking about dropping Reaper… which is like the BEST show they've ever had. UGH. 90210 is the worst rated and they'll keep it over Reaper. Fuckers.
