Like I said more than a few times. I voted for gay marriage and had to convince my husband and mother-in-law to do it, and they did. I have changed my mind. The more discussion, the more research I've done and I've seen the equality in civil unions. The discussion backfired for me. I got throught the propaganda and the rhetoric of h8, or bigotry etc. none of which I am.

I really dislike Bill O'Reilly and disagree with almost everything he says.
However, sad to say, he has the highest rated of all cable news shows, so he always panders to his conservative right demographic.
So it makes sense that he back-peddled and spews hate & inaccuracies about gay marriage - and any other issue that keeps his TV ratings high.

Marriage is a religious institution - a word that was created for a union between man and woman. As I've always said, if it doesn't happen in a traditional church (regardless of sex), it's not a marriage. Some people take pride in the English language. Too many Americans dumb down everything, eventually we will all be (flashback warning) Marclar's. Because everything and every word needs to be equal. Civil unions are EXACTLY the same benefits as marriage and are actually more PC.

Sounds familiar eh? Another quote to he wouldn't oppose gay marriage?: "If you can get that changed, I'm not going to jump….." The article curiously is missing an entirety quote - what else did he say that they have the need to cover up? It was the direct answer to the entire article. That's right, it's conveniently missing to make their point….

Heterosexual loving relationships homosexual loving relationships will forever be DIFFERENT. They are not the same. PERIOD. Neither are men and women, Boy Scout, Mens rooms etc. A lesbian couple will always need a man (male sperm) and a gay male couple will always need a female egg. Period. In the beginning, before scientists, the only couples that could procreate would have been heterosexual ones. You can't change facts or reality.
When things are different they have different needs and different rules. People of different ages have different but equal rules for soccer teams, even at the grade school levels. The rules are designed to better fit the needs of different groups.
Equality in diversity doesn't mean having the EXACT same thing. Equal implies more than one. 1/2 = 2/4
It is funny that liberal Hollywood maily discusses marriage as "a piece of paper" that has nothing to do with how much people love each other. Yet, they are acting like it's so much more than a piece of paper now. Where is the it's "just a piece of paper" now?
Get your equal rights through civil unions, which by the way are prohibited to heterosexuals who don't want marriage in some places.
If you watched his show you'd know he's not against gay marriage. He says it would have no impact on his life personally but he thinks it would open the door for triad marriages, etc. He also says it should be put up for a vote by the people to decide on, and not have it decided by judges.
