Two elderly women in Pennsylvania are accused of selling heroin and are trying to work a plea bargain.
Heroin? Damn! They couldn't be happy exchanging pills in the old folks home?
Reports say the senior citizen sisters, 70-year-old Elizabeth Grube and 65-year-old Elaine Volkert, were making an easy $10,000 a week from their venture. Sounds better than bingo winnings!
The ladies' lawyer says "the ladies got caught up in something and just kept rolling along" and that his clients are willing to cooperate with authorities to avoid jail time. The assistant district attorney said he hopes the defendants' cooperation will cause prosecution of higher-level dealer.
Yeah, because who really wants to be known as the guy who put away someone's grandma!

I don't know why people are so hesitate to lock up elderly people just because they are old. If they committed murder, why shouldn't they go to jail? I am sure that somebody had to be hurt doing heroin that they sold-somebody that is seriously hooked or possibly died. Somebody in their 20's or 30's would get quite a few years. Spend serious time in jail. Somebody in their 50's might spend the rest of the their life in jail, but oh no! they are grandmas, dont send them to jail. BS
