Christina lipped last years VMA's but the performance was awesome! Beyonce lipped at the Oscar, Jeniffer Hudson lipped the national anthem. Mariah has over and over again but they are all incredible! To say they are not real artists is ridiculous! Besides art & talent is NOT predefined and is not just exclusive to singing.

I saw her a couple of months ago when she was on the NKOTB tour and she was performed a show afterwards at a nightclub and she was without a doubt LIP-SYNCHING! It was probably one of the worst shows that I have seen, we waited for 4 hours for her to come on for 15 minutes and pull that shit! Now with that being said if she did come back around I may give her another chance but I was not impressed!

In the days when 'entertainers' think they can charge exorbitantly high prices for what is essentially a bad shot at lipsyncing, she deserves a lot of credit! I will reserve the right to snicker at her costumes and clothing choices, but as for what she does and the respect she has for what music should be, I say good for her!
Okay, majority of all pop artist HAVE lip synched. It doesn't make them less of an artist though. I BET she has too. Its done for different reasons…

…all of her choruses sound like they're lip-synced. the quality of her verses and bridges compared to the choruses are way too different.
if you want real live music, look at Taiwanese artists. even when they're sick, artists like JJ Lin and Leehom Wang won't lip-sync a single line. it's expected of them, and a lot of them (but especially those two) pull it off extremely well, even if they're dancing or playing instruments simultaneously. Koreans and Japanese artists, on the other hand, are more apt to lip-sync to their dance and harder songs.
Although, can I just say, she did lipsync on Australian Morning Television (Sunrise is the name of the program) and admitted to it afterwards, saying she had a sore throat - so she has lipsynced!

Well this is the first time I have something positive to say about her! I thought she was going to go down the Madonna and Britney route. Thank god she is truly singing live. This is coming from a person who claims to be a huge britney spears fan, who's the poster child of lip-synching.
Alot of pop singer's DON'T lip-synch and are adamant AGAINST lip-synching Avril, Alanis, Kelly, Nelly furtado, sarah mclauglin, tori amos, etc. The thing is no-one truly cares wither you lip-synch or write on they're song's it's ALL about image. I don't think that her fans give a fuck wither she lip-synch's or not, as her music is vapent disposable pop music it fits the flavor of the week, so they're gonna be fair weather fans until the next flavor of the week comes along.
ok for all of you people who seem to think she is faking in her club performances, she is not…there is a difference between pure lip-syncing, and back up vocals. Lady G wants to put on a good show…and she at least full out dances and sings, so there is no harm in back-up vocals…most of you people don't understand the difference.
