100% GaGa, everytime you see her!
The music comes first for the Lady, and she insists that she will never lipsynch a performance, no matter how difficult the song or dance routine. She is totally adamant on being a true performer.
She says: “I would never even think about it (lip synching). The whole point to me is, if you’re gonna be number one, you better really be fucking number one. If you’re gonna be on top, you better be able to do all those things, because it’s a real privilege to be able to make music everyday, and I get away with a lot…Andy Warhol says art is what you can get away with, and I get away with a lot with my music and my clothes, and I work really hard so I could truly be a real artist for all my fans. That’s really fucked up when you lip-synch.”

I agree with GaGa 100%….she has no need to lip sync anyway, her voice is so powerful live. You go to a show to be blow away by an artist, both vocally as well as by their showmanship and someone who is lip syncing isn't providing you with a true musical experience….it's more like watching a dancing showcase. I refuse to pay good money on an artist to watch them mime. Just one reason why I admire artists like Tori Amos, and our Lady GaGa….nothing but honest performances and outlooks.

she's just amazing. and good on her for keeping it real! *unlike most 'singers' nowadays. after i saw her performance on Ellen i was even more impressed by her b/c you could tell she wasn't lip synching and we know how hard it must be to sing AND dance. that takes talent and SHE… is talented. hooray for Lady GaGa!
I wish more performers would sing live, without lip synching. It looks so fake. Do they really need all the electronics in the studio to make them sound good ? Lady GaGa was AWESOME when she sang Poker Face on American Idol. She can play the piano, sing and dance … with endless amounts of energy and passion.I hope she keeps doing what she's doing, for a long time, despite the critics.

Didn't she lipsynch a lot when "just dance" just came out? And nowadays she still has a recording supporting her voice @ some parts. She can't do it on her own.
Not saying that she isn't a nice performer, but she is not the best singer.
P.s. She's not close to replacing Britney as the princess of pop!

I have to like her. I don't enjoy her music, but her attitude towards it absolutely rules, and I can recognize that she's not an untalented lass.
When I was on stage in the clubs - I sang every show 100% of the time - never backing down. I was the ONLY live perfomer at venues. If the mic had feed back - hey that's what it was. There has been such a change in the past ten or so years, where lip synching was not permitted - so much so - Mili Vanili had their grammy taken from them. REMEMBER THAT AMERICA as you pay 75 dollars a pop to see BRITNEY fake it! In all honesty - just because she's digitized (as was Kanye West) isn't that the same as having someone else sing your vocals for you? Have you no shame? I'd like to see Brit sing on a float driving down 5th avenue LIVE. Lets see her go through what Lady Gaga and I have gone through in order to even CUT a record and SING live. YOU ARE A SINGER! YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO SING - and THAT"S YOUR JOB! GO UP THERE AND SING - LIVE! I can't believe that SINGING LIVE is something rare?

there's still a big difference between singing "live" and 100% live. Computer programmes like Auto-Tune can help everybody to sing perfectly live on stage.
Real singers never sound 100% perfect all the time, because thats just not possible.

That is not the same as sitting down and scratching out all the lyrics yourself. Furthermore, she is NOT the QUEEN of pop. Just because she has awesome producers that AUTO TUNE THE SHIT out of her voice DOES NOT make her an SINGER. It makes her a fraud. Now her EX Justin - HE's A SINGER/SONG WRITER/ AND VERY GIFTED!
