And The Winner Is….
The underdog took the crown!
Congrats, Norway!
CLICK HERE to watch this year's Eurovision winner, Alexander Rybak singing Fairtyle.
He himself was stunned by the win! After the competition in Moscow on Saturday night, Alexander confessed that he thinks he is far from the best singer in this year's contest - he just had a story he wanted to tell "and I guess people liked my story. And I also play the violin - that always helps!"
He's cute and he's got a gimmick!

They were never the underdog… get your facts straight. Bookmakers have been saying for weeks that they're the favourite and would come first.
Personally, the song sucked and I hated that they won.
totally out of tune. and its an awful song.
i was glad Norway won, even though Uk deserved it more
they havent won in years and their song was so uncheesy compared to the rest. go jade !
He was the underdog? But everyone said that he'd win!
While I do agree Eurovision is very political, I do not think you can claim Rybaks victory a result of political voting. There are many examples of how countries tend to vote politically, (f.ex. Andorra gave Spain a full 12 points, though it had not gotten any points before.. Also we often see the eastern european countries tend to back each other up) BUT Norway simply does not have enough power to win simply because of politics, Rybak won an overwhelming record-high score! This is not the result of Norways influences, but a good, catchy preformance by Alex:)
Btw, who else thinks that Danmarks song did remind them a little bit of Miley Cyrus song? A shame that it's written by Ronan Keating actually!
Miley:
We all want to believe in love,
We all want to believe in something,
Bigger than just us,
Danmark:
And I… I wanna believe in love
I wanna believe in something bigger
Than the two of us, yeah…
Also kinda funny that the song was called "Believe again", since the song that Dima Bilan won Eurovision with last year was called "Believe". Haha.
I'm from Norway, and we deserved it. We don't have many neighborcontrys. So we got the points fearly. It's all about the performence, and he did it.
Heia Norge!
Re: emsley05 – yeah, he always breakes them (he did so on the semi) Yes, you can play a violin even if you have lost a string
Re: BabyPink_FL – not. I saw a show from many years ago. He is outschooled from a music-university etc. So he CAN play violin
Re: Shakti – as i said to the one you replied to, you CAN play a violin with a broken string. I know, my sister plays
Re: xcalibur – If you knew anything about Norewegian traditions, style or history, you would (to your surprise) find this song perfect for Norway.
