Idols Checked For Swine
David Cook and David Archuleta were politely asked by Philippine health authorities to have themselves checked for swine flu before performing in the Philippines on Saturday.
That's still an issue????
Edgardo Sabitsana, director of the quarantine bureau, had officials go to the boy's hotel and arrange a mandatory health check, one they should have had when they arrived at the airport. Sabitsana reminded them that they could be arrested if they did not cooperate.
So they did.
Part of the briefing after the examination was a reminder to keep a distance of six feet from other people, how to identify flu-like symptoms, and to use hand sanitizers.

we just had 3 schools closed in queens yesterday in nyc because of h1n1-it is coming back again-it is not over-and the principal of one of the schools is in critical condition

It's simply a precaution, Perez. Don't you think it would be safer to check first than to risk people's lives? It was the responsible thing to do. No disrespect was meant by that, I am pretty sure. Filipino people are very warm and welcoming people. For you to interpret that act in any other way is pure ignorance. New cases have come up in the U.S., which is very unfortunate. Hopefully, it stops there. Maybe you should report on that rather than twisting this into something it's not.
