Could Chris Hemsworth be Hollywood's newest It boy???

The Australian hottie, who played Captain Kirk's dad in the new Star Trek, film has signed on to play Thor in the upcoming movie adaptation of the Marvel Comics series!

Thor, which director Kenneth Branagh has described as "a human story right in the center of a big epic scenario," will also star Samuel L. Jackson and is scheduled for a 2011 release.

      I'm so sick of Samuel Jackson. I have no idea what his appeal is. This kid is going to have to Bulk up. As I remember, Thor was Muscular with a big hammer (ahem! no pun intended)He looks like any other young actor, nothing special.

      Now that I think of it, he was actually a terrible actor in Home and Away. He performed a lot better in Star Trek, but that was only a short appearance..I can only hope he's a better actor in a feature film.
