Ultra Catholic Mel Gibson's social-climbing girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant!!
There were some loud whisperings of Grigorieva with a bun in the oven earlier this month, but a source close to Gibson has now confirmed the pregnancy.
Oksana is reportedly in her second trimester, even though Gibson only filed for divorce from his wife Robyn in April.
What a scumbag!

Divorce is permitted in Catholic church, but, you can't remarry in the Catholic church w/out an annulment.

Divorce is not recognized by the Catholic Church. Marriage in the Catholic tradition cannot be dissolved, the only thing they can really do is separate, and that is called divortium imperfectum and is usually granted in cases of adultery during marriage (as with Mel). But the marriage bond is seen as indissoluble and there is no such thing as an absolute divorce, hence they can get a civil divorce, but no religious Catholic divorce (there is no such thing). And annulment is usually used where the marriage has not been consummated. After 7 kids I highly doubt they can get an annulment. Hence, in the eyes of the Catholic Church he is an adulterer since he slept with and impregnated another woman.

Re: Moniker – You might want to update your teachings. The Catholic church has no problem giving annulments to people married in a Catholic church prior. The performing priest, where available, must give blessing for the annulment (the consummation argument is for LEGAL annulment in the US court system). He must meet with the couple and decide whether the marriage is a true marriage and can be saved through the church. If not, an annulment is granted by the reigning diocese.
Honestly, it's amazing how many people don't even understand basics of religions before knocking them, or the people that practice them. Of course, "Perez said so", so that makes it all 100% correct and you should follow!

Vatican II might "look the other way" for divorcing Catholics (although they can never remarry in the Catholic church again), but Mel has been outspokenly AGAINST Vatican II. He is a hardcore, old school Catholic. Albeit one that doesn't actually follow the whole "Thou shalt not commit adultery" thing. Tool.

It's not as simple as that. You're right it's not just if they have children, but one of the main reasons for granting annulment even after children and years of marriage is if the two parties are said to have given 'invalid' consent to the marriage in the first place. That is not that easy to get, and there are criteria that have to be fulfilled IF the performing priest or diocese is going to grant the annulment. Most Catholics who got divorced that I know didn't even bother. In Mel's case, he is a hard core Catholic, that doesn't even accept this kind of process, because he doesn't follow the teachings of Vatican II, which as PurpleDocs has rightly said, is usually the teachings that are more lenient and look the other way. But on its face, a Catholic marriage can never really be totally dissolved, they can either be annuled (as if it never happened) or separated (which still ties them).

These days, I am an agnostic, mostly because of the hypocrisy that is rampant in organized religion of any kind. But let me just correct you on a couple of things here. First, you can't get divorced if your marriage was annulled because if it's annulled, that means it never existed in the eyes of the church. Not just in the eyes of the church, but legally as well. There would be no need to divorce if it was already annulled. Joe Kennedy was able to desanctify his first marriage (which rendered his 2 children from that marriage illegitimate after the fact, nice) years after his civil divorce, but it does not happen the other way around. Again, hypocrisy in organized religion. Gotta love it.

The Old Testament existed waaaaay before Jesus or the Catholic church, so sure, it's mentioned in there, but that was under the Jewish religion in the years BCE. Understand, Christianity as a faith started with those who followed Jesus, but the formal Catholic church, and all the rites and sacraments associated specifically with it (such as confirmation and last rites) didn't happen until later. They like to say it began on the day of Pentecost when the apostles started preaching the word of Jesus after his death, but you don't actually see that word, "Catholic", until the 2nd century. The Roman Catholic church (the one Mel Gibson specifically follows) was not formally recognized until the 4th century. And divorce was NEVER allowed in the Catholic church. Feel free to look it up.

When 'the sun' printed the faulse story of oksana supposed pregnancy, as if being rumored by oksanas own friends, Mel Gibson thought it was true, and thats why he brougth her to that wolverine premiere, which was oksanas idea.. but he soon found out it was a lie, and they do not have talk together since.
He is extremely mad at her for having done that to him, lied and taken him for a fool, for so long, and he wish he had never met her.
