Betty Banished to Friday!

ABC just announced their fall line up, and fan favorite, Ugly Betty, was noticeably absent from its Thursday night time slot.
The show has been pushed to dreaded Friday nights - at 9pm.
It is not an unexpected move as viewership has dropped drastically this past season. But it still sucks for the show!
What do U think?? Will Betty fall the way of the TV graveyard?!
This may be the show's last season! In fact, it almost didn't even get picked up!

I love "Ugly Betty" and I hope it doesn't get the boot. I don't mind it moving to Friday, I would watch it any day of the week. But honestly that show wouldn't be as good without Vanessa Williams… Willi is the best!!!

Ugly Betty is still one of the better shows around, and I really hope they don't cancel it. They need to start Betty's romance with Daniel…come on UB it's time!
Most of the shows on tv right now are terrible, if they cancel UB I'll watch no t.v. at all except for Family Guy.
i don't understand…the writing is soo friggin good and the characters / actors are outstanding….Ugly Betty would definitely be missed, makes me sad :0(

the problem with ub is ub is still ub-come on-she works in the fashion industry and after a couple of years, she supposedly hasn't picked up any tips? and whats the deal with the teeth? she gonna wear braces until she's 50? she should be a work in progress and it might be more believable. you can only do the same thing over and over so many times. and if it goes to friday, so what? don't most people have the capabilities of tivo or taping it?

This show jumped the shark when they split up Betty and Henry. If they want to redeem it, make the baby not his and bring him back.
Plus I hear that America (Betty) is quite the on set diva. Let's see how long that lasts if her show goes under…

Daniel's brother comes back from the dead as his sister?
Daniel finds out he's a father only to find out his brother turned sister is really the father?
Christina becomes Willi's surrogate for her and Daniel's late fathers baby only to find out the baby is really Christina's?
Betty is so ugly yet finds tons of boyfriends - she had Walter, Gio, the singer guy, and now that rich guys son. If she were so ugly how did she snag all of them?
The stupidity goes on and on…at least if they're ending they better hurry up and reveal the real betty.

ugly betty is my favorite show…i just love everything about it. sucks that it is being moved to friday…i will always be a loyal viewer but once a show is swicthed to friday it is never a good sign.
If u watch shows online, say on abc.com does that count towards viewership? cause i basically watch all my shows online and not when they come on, on tv

NO UB has so much to live for! keep it going, and wrap-up some loose ends.. more ga tuff featuring the Kid and the Fag-ssistant. More Amanda craziness, and more attitude from Netty's sister. ANd more cunning from Willie.

I like the show, although I don't love it. I think it has lost its charm. I agree with you about the unrealistic storylines, but I guess they do that to keep the show campy (kind of like the unrealistic plot lines of the shows of yore, like DYNASTY or MELROSE PLACE). My problem with the show is it tends to be the same show every week: Mode Magazine or Daniel seem to be in a bind, and Betty is really the only sensible one (or so it seems) who has a solution, yet she has a personal dilemma of choosing what's right or wrong, but yet she chooses what's right in heart and manages to save the day (yet gets little to no thanks for it). And you would think that working for a fashion magazine, she would develop some fashion sense, but I guess they're to keep within the spirit of the show that you should always be who you are and should never have to change for anyone. YAWN!
I would hope that Daniel and Betty never hit it off, even though at times it seems like their relationship is going that way. If they do become an item, that's when the show will officially jump the shark.
Ugly Betty will do better on Fridays I think. Too many good things to watch Thursdays….
Depends on the current demographics. I'll still watch but only because i DVR everything. The past two seasons have been kind of lackluster but it is still an overall cute show and beats most of the crap that is on nowadays anyway.

The show is so overboard now. The only highlights for me are when Mark and his sidekick receptionist frenemy interact and when Mark and Denise Williams, his frenemy employer, interact. After that, phhhitttt, it all goes up in smoke.
I love Betty!!!! At least i will have something to watch on Fridays now.

I quit watching partway through last season. It was always kind of predictable, but now it's really predictable w/ the same old same old. They need to spice Betty up and tone down the camp.
the show has sucked since henry left, especially with the bogus charlie bit… that was just ridiculous and unrealistic! the rich new hottie betty is with, she'd NEVER be able to get in real life!!! bleh!! and the whole "how will betty choose between broke henry who has an ex and a baby, or rich charming bachelor who is too good for her?" ooh how will she choose? LAME! i've completely stopped watching UB and grey's. they both suck now!
This show is sinking down episode by episode. They should have stopped this boring love interest parade and had kept Gio Rossi (he was ACE!).. instead they brought the lamest plots (no wait… there aren't even plots anymore).
