Gossip Girl Star Accuses Ex Of Child Endangerment
The custody battle between Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford and soon-to-be ex, Daniel Giersch, is getting heated.
Correction: getting MORE heated!
Kelly won the first round and is now claiming Giersch is putting her 2 year old son, Hermes, in danger.
She has filed papers requesting full custody of the child until Daniel has properly secured the pool and play areas at his house. Rutherford has also asked to call an end to potty training but no reason was given.
A hearing has been set for Friday.
The pregnant actress has a baby girl - also with the ex - on the way.

why is she using the court for their problems? it is going to be lovely for the kids growing up. The soon to be ex probably just moved into this non child proof house-it takes time and money to fence a pool-dont know the law out west for pools. now for the potty training-SHE IS BOTHERING THE COURT FOR THIS????? the boy will let daddy know if he isnt ready, I for one, would be thrilled if I had an ex husband that was willing to toilet train the kid. but then again, she is still breast feeding the kid. He is going to be at his High School graduation sucking his mom's tits and having his nappy changed.
It's not a good idea to try to potty train when there is a major change or stressor happening in the household.

OK, I TOTALLY get the importance of securing a pool as I know someone who's toddler drowned when he accidentally fell into an un-fenced pool, but WTF is up with delaying potty-training? Even though my son REFUSED to potty alone until he was almost three, we started trying to train him as soon as he could walk, right after his first birthday! If she wants to clean up baby shit that smells like adult food until he's 10, so be it but she's doing him nor herself any favors by delaying such an important process!!!!
Re: justtfax – Wait, so in one sentence you support natural parenting, listening to the child's cues, and then in the next you attack breastfeeding? Check your facts. It is perfectly healthy to breastfeed into the toddler years and let the child self-wean.
