Kanye Gives Back
Kanye West might be cocky and self-centered, but he really does care about giving back. Especially in memory of his mother, the late Dr. Donda West.
In fact, the Kanye West Foundation, which was founded back in 2007 by his mom, will now host its 2nd Stay In School Benefit Concert next month in Chicago. The intention is to help bring awareness and prevent kids from dropping out of school.
Lending his support, Kanye will be performing at the event, set to take place June 11th at the historic Chicago Theatre in Chi town.
Oh, and even better news for students in Chicago. For those kids who demonstrate improvements in attendance and/or grades in their last quarter of school this year, they'll receive free tickets to the event!
Sounds like a nice bribe incentive to us. Whatever workd!
They'll even get the chance to meet Kanye.
If you'd like to attend, tickets go on sale this Thursday via TicketMaster and will range from $49.50 to $500 if you want the VIP Reception.
And, if you miss it, no worries, you can still donate online. The concert will be taped by Fuse TV and aired at a later date.

If he likes you and you do something nice he commends you, but if he doesn't like you and you do something nice he makes it seem like your doing it for publicity!! Great idea, except it's being funded with money from the sale of rap music which sends the total OPPOSITE message, telling these po' nigglets to act all ghetto and shit. Well I think it's really nice of him to support the purpose of the foundation by performing @ the event. He's definitely one of my favourite rappers and I totally envy the students in Chicago who will get a chance to watch his live show!!!!
My stupid fucking school is doing this. A majority of us (myself included) don't even WANT to see Kanye. And also to the person saying he's copying Eminem, - I really doubt it, considering we've known about this for a couple of months now. They had reps from the S.H.O.W program come to our school, (including someone from the Bears…) and tell us like, back in March I think.
Either way it's stupid and hasn't really made an effect at our school. Because nobody gives a shit about Kanye West.
