Milk Screenwriter Hottie To Direct Feature!

Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black is trying his hand at directing!
The Oscar-winning screenwriter will make his directing debut in What's Wrong With Virginia, starring Liam Neeson and Jennifer Connelly.
Exciting!
The film, also written by Black, is the story of "a psychologically disturbed mother (Connelly) who has been entangled in a 20-year secret love affair with a highly visible Mormon sheriff (Neeson), who is running for a state senate seat."
We smell another Oscar!
Milk director Gus Van Sant has signed on to executive produce the picture, which begins filming in Michigan this summer.

hope i am first!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy. He is just so brilliant and sensitive and profound. What a tremendous ambassador for the gay community!!
Dustin Rocks, his oscar speech was amazing. But what i'm really excited about is Liam Neeson! It must be unbearable to return to work after his wife's tragic death, but as a huge fan i'm so glad that he is! Great director, great co-star and i'm sure Liam will be amazing as usual!
It sounds like Neeson's character is based on Utah Attorney General Mark Shurleff, who is a prominent Mormon…and it has been rumored that he want's Bob Bennett's senate seat.
I didn't know who he was until the Oscars - thought his speech was awesome and truly heartfelt. I totally cried!
we smell bullshit with your "oscar prediction"…mario
Love this hot Queen.
Yay. Good news. I loved "Milk"
This guy is really the opposite of Perez. He declared in his last interview that he was HAPPY MISS CALOFORNIA didn't lose her Crow. He also said that a decent dialogue will do better for the gay cause than judging and abusing people for a different opinion.
A very talented and fair man.- So different from Perez!!!
his oscar speech was great…and i doubt that i'm the 1st to say this but he has a total porn star name!
WHO????
OMG Perez I am so F*&%ing tired of the gay bashing and bullshit. We are in 2009 man, ya'll get the f&%@ over it!!! Who cares if Adam Lambert is gay? He can sing!!! Bravo to Dustin Black!!! He is an amazing screenwriter! I am not gay but I see what my two cousins go thru, YA'LL NEED SOME MAJOR RIGHTS!!!!!!! I am common law in Texas together for 13 years,, we had a major motorcycle accident and after CPR was performed on my husband and he was careflighted a few days later his stupid sisters tried to have me removed from the hospital- contacted an attorney because we didn't have a will, called the triage nurse and said I was nothing but a live in…. after the fact that I had given his med history, etc…finally my husband came out of it after a week and told his sisters to F- off. PEREZ I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO IN MY AREA TO TAKE UP FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS! i GO TO THE LOCAL GAY CLUB TO SEE THE BEST DRAG SHOW EVER, me and my friends have never had so much fun. Basically what I am asking is what can we do for your cause, man I am there!!!!
My next door neighbor Dylan Shook committed sucicide in February because he was gay and his mom didn't accept it. The boy never raised his head at me to talk, and I feel sooooo bad!
I am one of your biggest fans and have turned all my friends on to you…
Please let us know what to do with the cause!!!!
Respectfully-
Tonya Bell
I understand that the gay community appreciates the sentiments and message of Black, but in all honesty, the screenplay was the weakest part of Milk. The direction of Van Sant is what in a sense saved the film.
