Ellen DeGeneres is genius!

The talk show titan was the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremony this past weekend for the class of 2009 at Tulane University.

Her address was one of the best we have ever heard - funny, poignant, real, sweet, insightful, more funny.

I'm so glad to see all these positive comments. I'm a Tulane employee, and good lord we got so many nasty complaints from right wing parents about having Ellen as the speaker and that she was not worthy for a commencement address at a university. I just wanted to scream at them! In the end, she was just awesome and those right wing nutters can just shove it!!

I was at this graduation. It was hysterical! What this clip doesn't show is that after she said "just dance" she literally went dancing thru the aisles of where the graduates were sitting. Ellen is amazing.
