ABC has just released these two clips (above) of their new remake of the iconic '80s sci-fi TV show V, scheduled for next season.
We're not feeling it at all!

Cheesy? V was all about the cheese!
that's because it takes brains and concentration to watch this show. and everyone knows you don't have the attention span to do so.
I'm already hooked on it. lol. I think they're really gonna kill everyone.
hmmm…..I will watch it just because…but the original one was THE bomb!!! Marc Singer…and of course a very young "Krueger"! haha…
Whoa. I recognized Morena by her voice instantly. She looks very different from when she was in Firefly. Wow.

This looks like ASS. The original was waaaaaaaaaay better. You actually felt secure when they first landed and then slowly the unease built. This looks very one dimensional. Don't plan to watch. I'll just watch my DVDs of the original series/movie. Even though "Juliet" is in it. . .not enough to make me watch.

It looks good actually. Anything that can bring back Scott Wolf to TV gets my vote, and Morena Baccarin…WIN! I am watching it.
Hmmm there are some different things on this one… It seems like STAR TREK MEETS THE HILLS or something like that. It doesn't feel like "V"… What happened to the aliens' uniforms, to their voices, their weird feeling about getting used to the Earth and the new environment? The lady seems to be like a regular earthling… I don't know, I may give it a chance but they do need to impress more!
OMG it looks AMAZING! Maybe a little too sci-fi for ABC, if it was on the actually sci-fi channel…syfy, it would fit perfectly. We have to wait till 2010 for LOST to return, and I need something to fill my battlestar galactica needs. can't wait for V.

i watched the pilot last night, and surprisingly..not bad at all. my boyfriend got the dvd from work. i must say i hate aliens, but i see this show being successful. abc wants it to be the next lost..i don't see that EVER happening, but good show nonetheless. and juliet from lost is perfectly cast as the lead.

These clips are not good but remember that the original was cheesy too. It was campy and stupid and I loved it LOL I'll give this one a try but not hopeful that it will capture the magic of the first one
the main problem is the sound! there isn't any! on, and there's no emotion either.
Yeah it looks cheesy but less so than the 80's version! And besides cheesy is FUN, look at YOUR website tres' cheesy and we like it!

I am a big fan of the original and this does look pretty cheesy. Why are the clapping and I guess Elizabeth Mitchell(Juliet) from Lost is dead when the show returns next season because she will on V.

I think i just saw juliet from "Lost" in there.
I prefer Morena with long hair, she kinds of looks Elvish in this clip. She looked a bit creepy on a recent episode of MEDIUM. I will watch it, but mothing beats WILLY from V, or that Marc Singer dude. LAND OF THE LOST looks hideous!!!!!!! I am old enough to have watched the show when it originally aired, and I know it cheesy but it was the 70's.
awww i really hope its good! I can remember watching the original when I was about 8. It was so GOOD! My mom even has it on VHS and will still pull it out to watch, at least once a year!

i wish elizabeth mitchell hadn't left lost. well she's not completely gone, they're leaving room for her to come back in case this bombs. but i wish she was still a regular cast member on lost :'(

I think it looks pretty good. Loved the original, so it will be fun to see how they modernize it and make it better.
I guess we now know what happened to Juliet in Lost. DAMN!!!!

Good thing there are plenty of V fans and sci-fi nuts out there. I cant wait to see this! This show is telling us something…..think outside the celebrity box Perez, you would be surprised at what is out there that isnt related to Hollywood. This show will be big. We dont have many sci-fi shows on anymore so this will be much welcomed.

Why does it look cheesy? I thought it actually looks promising. It's tough to judge from just 2 clips that last a minute each. Wait till it airs and then decide. However, nothing will beat the original. That was the BOMB!

You cant redo V! I was young when it was out but I remember it was awesome. The aliens were really weird though… I remember the one where the woman had the babies and the one twin was a green reptilian thing and the other was either phsycic and telekinetic or evil…. This remake better be better than the other ones they have had recently! That leader though, she is really devious, you can tell. she seems like the queen of the 'false sense of security' tactic.
