Police: Pittsburgh student used snake as jump rope
Pittsburgh police say a high school student is facing charges for using a biology class snake as a jump rope.
Police say the incident happened Monday at Taylor Allderdice (ahl-DER'-dys) High School.
Police aren't identifying the 17-year-old suspect because he's being charged in juvenile court. The boy will be charged with theft and cruelty to animals.
The animal survived the ordeal and was being examined by a veterinarian.
Pittsburgh Public School officials on Tuesday were not immediately able to say what kind of snake it was.

Makes you wonder how some of the sickos get through life. Using a live animal of any kind for a jump rope is sick beyone description and even for an immature 17 year old, it makes you wonder how much of and which part of his brain is actually functioning. And makes you wonder if this kind of mentality is sadistic, masochistic or just plain inhumane. I hope he gets the book thrown at him, or maybe the judge could have him lay on the floor and have people jump on him. I think he deserves to be treated like he apparently treats other innocent life. I wonder if he chokes cats and shoots dogs. He is a dispicable disgusting lowest form of humanity.

First it was my local Chuck E Cheese that was featured on here because t he local trailer trash couldn't contain themselves and had to get wasted and fist fight. Now we're on the map again for another blatent act of stupidity! PLEASE don't think that these two incidents are an accurate representation of my hometown. This latest incident happened at Allderdice High School. Do a GoogleSearch and you'll quickly notice the school doesn't have a stellar record with it's students making the smartest life decisions. Maybe someone will use HIM as a jump rope. What a douche…

im from pittsburgh and used to live in greenfield not far from the school its a nice area but most of the kids that go to this school are super ghetto so glad i didnt go there its scary drivin by when school lets out 4 realz

Cruelty to animals should never be ignored, regardless
of age. He needs to know that animal abuse is illegal

snakes are creepy, but they deserve to live too.

I stumbled on a snake in my basement last week and had to be peeled off the ceiling. All of yinz who are boo hooing about the snake should accidentally step on one in your house and then let's see how you feel about the snake's right to life.
FIRST OFF i live in sq. Hill which is where Allderdice is located. It is NOT GHETTO!! Literally sq. Hill is where all the rich liberal jews live. Its the ONLY place you could find four temples on one street. Allderdice has BEEN getting crazy recently a couple months ago there was a all out GANG fight and like 30 kids got supended. What is truly sad is that we don't have better laws to protect animals.
Its sad that in our society if someone shoots a dog they don't go away for long…you have to go after them for discharging a weapon within city limits to get some justice!
In this case, they should send his ass to the Florida everglades and let the 14+ feet long snakes have at him…there are plenty of snakes that could make a nice meal out of him down there!

His sentence should educate him, not hurt him. Several hundered hours of community service at a local zoo would help. Obviously kids are going to do stupid things. I remember a couple of teens letting loose a couple of greased pigs in our High School. Made a interesting morning.
I graduated from Allderdice last year, and I can honestly say this is why I miss my high school. At least it's never boring there.. we have made headline news at least twice this year for ridiculous stunts, and I am somewhat proud yet embarrassed to say that I graduated from there. The school isn't as bad as it seems, honestly. We have outstanding test scores, we just get people from not so great neighborhoods.
